- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
AOK Simply Organized offers an all-inclusive organizing service. We do not charge additional for the work we need to do outside of your organizing session such as shopping for product, space design, driving, etc. (However, the cost of product if needed is not included.) What is included: - Free consultation. - Removal of donations/trash (1 haul away per session). - Handyman projects if needed. - Shopping for organizational products tailored to your budget and your space. - Additional hours spent researching and designing organizing solutions for your space off-site. - Communication with you regarding your project between sessions. - Fun, laughs and bad dad jokes (from my husband) included as well!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
"The Process" (once hired) 1) EDIT The first step is where we get to know you and your space. During the "Edit" stage, we help you reduce the number of items that will go back into your space (declutter.) This step is vital to your success. All items are removed from the space and categorized into groups. You will be provided guidance and prompts to make sure you end up with a simplified space that makes you feel at peace in your home. 2) TRASH, DONATE OR SELL Secondly, we separate what you plan to keep from your donations, resell items, and trash. Items will be removed from unnecessary packaging as well. Donations will be taken with us when we leave, so no worries about how long you will have to drive around with bags in your trunk. 3) SPACE PLANNING After editing stage, we strategize and design your space by taking into consideration your lifestyle, measurements of storage structures, and your end goals. Our expertise allows us to know what products will work best in your space. This step takes time, research and creativity but is vital to set up effective systems that can be easily maintained for years to come. 4) PURCHASING PRODUCTS Once space planning is complete, we search for quality products to fit your space and needs. We purchase the products and handle returns if necessary. Product costs are billed separately from labor costs. We can work within a budget or "shop" in your home for storage as well. 5) ORGANIZE & LABEL Now for the fun part! Using our space design, we strategically put away your edited items. Every category is labeled so everyone in the household can easily find things and put them back where they belong! Basic labels are included in all packages. Custom vinyl labels and color picture labels are available for an additional charge. 6) FINAL REVEAL This is the best part! The final product is a beautiful, organized and functional space that will work for your family in your everyday lives! Prior to the final reveal, we make sure that everything is perfected. We will give you a tour of your new space so you can become acquainted with the new categories and systems. Once the organizing is completed you will be left with a sustainable solution that you, or anyone in and out of your house, can maintain.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. degree in psychology and attended graduate school for Physician Assistant (MMS.) My husband is a licensed nurse. Many of our clients suffer from the psychological effects of past trauma, passing of a loved one, health issues, depression, PTSD and/or ADHD. We understand how these conditions contribute to clutter and disorganization and we are here to help you through the process with sensitivity and genuine compassion.
