FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed the core curriculum with the Coaches Training Institute, one of the most comprehensive and well respected training programs in the world, where I excelled among all of my peer groups and was consistently recognized for my skill and leadership. I also participate in weekly conference calls and seminars about the intersections between neuroscience and the coaching core competencies. I service as an elected board member of the International Coach Federation's Michigan Chapter and assist with CTI's professional coaching trainings. I facilitate conference calls and dialogues through several professional networks of coaches interested in equality and social change, where we share resources, ideas, and strategies.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Interview multiple coaches. Select the one who scares you a bit and makes you feel things you're afraid to feel or haven't felt in a long timethey're going to get you where you want to go. The rest will help you delay.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The work doesn't feel like work once you commit to the process. The awful feelings, the feelings of fear and doubtthose come from being stuck, from refusing to engage with the process you know is before you, waiting for you to take the step. Once you start walking true, it's easy to run, and you can never unlearn how to walk.
