Every dog owner needs to have the back-up from a professional trainer especially when it a highly intelligent breed of dog is involved. I've had GSD for many years and did an OK job with them. Once I became involved with MonduoCu my dog world changed. My GSD has been made better by MondouCu.

Fantastic experience! I left an elderly dog with severe health issues at home with regular visits from Creatures Professional Pet Care while away on vacation. The experience was personal and professional. I loved receiving daily updates on my dog's status and photos. My dog and I were both at ease, and my trip was much more pleasant knowing my best friend was in good hands. My neighbors told me how great Tami was with my dog too. High recommendations all around!!!

Erica was outstanding helping us to integrate an adult dog, with lots of energy and enthusiasm, into our house that already had two cats who do not like change! She created a thorough plan and helped us to implement this plan at each step. As new challenges or situations arise she is always willing to offer helpful advice and tips. I would highly recommend her!

I am going to start walking dogs daily for owners who are working/disabled and are looking to have their dogs taken for great walks around the Lakeside area.

Im only 16, so you can be safe knowing your furry friend, wont be in any harm, plus i love animals!

My business has been around for two years, and it's been amazing. I've had a dog, but he's gone now. I've loved dogs ever since.

I would love to walk, play and bring your small dogs to the park. I offer half or full hour service for $8 per hour rate. I have my own little Yorkie.

I am a professional dog groomer (dogs only) with 5 years of experience. I also walk dogs and will pet sit animals of any kind.

KK provides in-home training, consulting, and the much needed advice for many owners who need help in understanding their canine partners. We also provide dog sitting in our home. We offer consultations on behavior, nutrition, health and understanding. She has been to numerous clinics on dog behavior. Her most beneficial being the clinics held by a Canadian trainer. In order for you and your dog(s) to have a successful relationship, you need to understand how a dog thinks and what he/she needs. This is something we would love to help with. There's nothing better than a "talking dog."

I am a passionate animal lover in college to become a veterinary technician, animal care is what I am working on making my career. I provide dependable, affordable pet services, and try to be as flexible as I can with pricing and availability. Booking through Happy Trails ensures that your pet will receive the same love and care that they get from you!

I know that it is very important to walk, love and feed dogs daily, and due to work schedules/vacations, owners can't always be there. That's when I come in. I love dogs.

My name is Courtney, and I live in Douglas! I am a huge animal lover and own a dog myself. I love to take my dog and my sister's dog for walks in the state park! I am currently in my last year at WMU and will be unavailable Mondays and Wednesdays due to classes. I am willing to pet sit or simply just walk or play with pets that are needing the attention. My price is negotiable, and I am willing to work with you to get the best experience for your fur kids!

I have a good respectable business and very good clientele that are very satisfied with the care of THIER pets

I love dogs, and I love to watch them. Dogs love me, and I will be happy to watch your dog and to see them.

Honestly I don't think there are alot of people in the Kalamazoo area supplying this service. I love dogs, horses, kids (the order - depends on the day I guess)! Dogs are consistent as long as people provide the same.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a dog walker do?

We all know our dogs love going on long, adventure-filled walks, but jobs and family and commuting can make it difficult to give them the leash time they deserve. You can hire a professional dog walker to make sure your furry friend gets adequate exercise and outdoor time each day. A professional dog walker may be an individual contractor or work for a dedicated dog-walking company. In either case, you want to make sure the pro has the appropriate insurance in case of an emergency. Some people opt to give the dog walker a key to their house; others to have them pick up the dog from the yard. Dog walking can happen as often as multiple times per day, or just a few times a month as needed. Here are some questions to ask when you are interviewing a new dog walker:

    • Will you or someone else be walking my dog?
    • Do you have a backup plan if you can’t make it for a scheduled walk?
    • Will you walk my dog by itself, or do you walk several dogs at once?
    • What are your different walk routes?
    • When will you pick up and drop off?
    • How will we communicate?
    • Do I have to commit to a schedule or are you flexible?
    • What’s your cancellation policy?
    • What’s your response plan if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
    • How and how often do I pay you?
    • Do you offer package pricing if I buy multiple dog walks up front?

How much do dog walkers charge?

The cost of dog walking depends on several factors including length and frequency of dog walks, the number of dogs on the walk, distance to your house, and any additional services you request. The national average cost range for a dog walk is $10-$20, but that price will vary based on where you live in the country and the regional cost of living and doing business.

The longer the dog walk, the higher your costs will be. Dog walkers offer a range of walk lengths, from 15-minute potty breaks to long hikes of 120 minutes or more. For example, a dog walker may charge $15 for a 15-minute walk and $35 for a 35-minute walk. Requesting that your dog be the only animal on the walk will typically mean a higher cost than if you permit your dog to be walked in a pack of dogs. You may be able to get a discounted rate if you have more than one dog to be walked. For example, a professional dog walker may charge $28 for one dog or $33 for two dogs on a 60-minute walk. If you need additional help — like feeding the dogs or giving them medication — dog walkers may be able to provide this service at an additional fee. Dog walkers may charge higher rates for walking your dogs on holidays.
