Introduction: I use only the best in high-definition make-up. This make-up is designed to capture beautifully in photographs, yet look flawless up close. Giving my clients the opportunity to have trial runs of the hair and make-up at no additional charge allows me to make sure they look and feel absolutely perfect on their big day. Driving to them allows them to relax on their wedding day. What I love most about my job is the people I encounter. I love hearing new stories as well as being a part of someone's story. Bridal hair and make-up allows me to do this, but I also enjoy being a part of my clients every day style through cuts, color, manicures, and pedicures.

Mel is very professorial and engaging I felt very confortable while she was cutting my hair. She did a great job! She is the first stylist I've ever had that actually cut my hair correctly sincey hair is so thin and lacks growth in some spots. She noticed this right away and was able to do a cut for me that works with my difficult hair type :)

Mel is very knowledgeable about fitting your hair to your lifestyle. She convinced me to grow my hair out and I love it! It's so easy to style in the morning! She also suggested I get highlights and I'm glad I let her do it! She took time with me to teach me how to style my hair. I get so many complements and I'm even told that I look younger!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a member of the American Beauty Network in Chicago. I travel there often to attend workshops and various classes. I love learning the new, bigger, and better techniques of my craft. This allows me to keep your look up-to-date.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm a "go-getter". I have an immense amount of energy and passion. I was driven towards getting into my own line of work because it allowed me freedom to do what I love!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Usually I work out of the salon doing haircuts, colors, manicures, pedicures, facials, etc. I also allow brides to book me for the day of their wedding for their hair and make-up as well as the styles for their bridesmaids, their mothers, and their future mother-in-laws.
