My experience with Straight Line Fence has been, overall, mostly positive.
Site Visit: Matt Fortuna, one of the owners, came out to my house at the pre-arranged time. Although he was around 15 minutes late from the end-time of the window, I understood as this company does significantly more business than other companies (and for good reason - they are good at what they do). Matt walked me through various options as well as took measurements in what appeared to be a more accurate way than the 4 other contractors I had visit. He took the time to answer all of my questions very thoroughly on how he would install everything and was very organized.
Estimate: Matt went back and forth with me and was more than patient when dealing with my many questions. I realize I'm probably over-the-top detail oriented and need everything spelled out in detail on the proposed project estimate, but he was more than willing to answer all of my questions without being irritated or annoyed in the slightest. When I signed the estimate, I had an estimated start date within the next two business days for the project. Although Matt's estimate came in at the highest of the 4 other contractors, it was clear that he knew his stuff (including code requirements, etc). Further, his company specializes in fence builds where the other contractors did not, so I felt most comfortable spending the money to get the job done right. Ultimately, the total cost of the estimate matched exactly what I ended up paying. They do the standard 1/2 up front, 1/2 upon completion. No BS where you need to pay for material cost + 1/2 of labor upfront. Just 1/2 total cost of the estimate.
Fence Build: I went with a vinyl fence as they are overall less maintenance. Matt's team was out within 2 - 2.5 weeks to install the fence, and it took about 2 days for them to put up around 175 feet of fencing. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the quality of construction and the materials used. I do believe Matt's team did a better job from what I would have otherwise experienced if I went with a different contractor. Matt and I discussed some ancillary work that needed to be done before the fence project, but this was not included in the invoice and I was not told I'd be charged for it. While Straight Line did bring this up that I would be charged, once I made the point that we did discuss this, they were more than willing to stick to our original estimate. I think the important thing with that is that those things can sometimes happen, but they were willing to make it right.
Communication: The company is very busy. That much is apparent. However, whenever I emailed them I always had a response or a call within 24 hours as is standard. There is a reason they do a lot of business -- they are good at what they do and do not leave you disappointed.
Ultimately, I highly recommend Matt and the rest of the Straight Line Fence crew. They did a superb job and the fence looks better than I expected.

Great service, great price. The quote was free and Matt showed up at my house to do the estimate himself. He was open and honest about any challenges that might come into play. Communication was good and Matt took my calls and questions. Installation was completed in less than 10 days and it looks fantastic!
