We had a sump pump issue we believe caused by an inspector for perspective buyers. The sump pump was turned off and we ended up with about 1 inch of water in half of the basement. I reached out to John the owner, explained the situation and he came out the next day to review the damage, and took time to explain options and the process. He was not pushy, and very understanding. We chose Motor City Steam Team because John is a very honest, hard working guy and so is his team. they started working without any down payment and focused on getting our basement fixed and dry as fast as possible. They had the right equipment, worked very hard and very fast and got the basement dry in a several days after removing the required wet drywall, trim and carpet. John was very patient and supportive and answered all of our questions in detail. John provided a detailed report of all of their work to our insurance company and we received approval for payout. I would recommend John and his crew to anyone. Great crew with a great leader.

John took care of a situation that was overwhelming. We had water back up in our basement . He removed the carpet , the tack strips and the padding . Tested the walls for moisture and took out what was damaged and treated the area for mold which had already started growing. He cleaned up everything and hauled it all away. He even went the extra mile and walked me around the outside of the house and recommended what needed to be done to keep water away from the foundation.He was not only professional but truly a great guy. He knows his business and takes pride in doing it right.

Called motor City steam team last minute to get my parents vents cleaned out. I spoke with the owner, Johnny, and he was very accommodating. He understood I needed this done ASAP and they came right out. They were professional, nice, VERY fast and pricing was affordable. I would recommend them to anyone needing there services. Thank you Johnny and Don for a job done perfect. (On another note I would highly recommend getting your vents cleaned out my parents house is spotless and they were so embarrassed of what got cleaned out)

March 10, 2021John, of Motor City Steam Team, came to my home to assess an issue that I was led to believe by another business contractor was dire, dangerous, and that I had to take immediate action to remedy it; and it would cost between $12, 000.00-$15, 000.00.. This all came as a complete surprise and shock to me. I scheduled an appointment with John so his company could also assess the "possible issue". He was prompt, very detailed, and thoroughly and patiently explained all his finding; which were the polar opposite of what I was previously told. In addition, he did other inspections for me "just because' he had the time to do them as he stated.. He offered, with no prompting from me and gave me very affordable and reasonable suggestions for other routine maintenance issues that he noticed. After speaking with him my mind was at ease(which it had not been in several days). This review cannot and does not in anyway adequately express the total appreciation I have for John. He genuinely went above and beyond when he came to my home yesterday. I realized during the time he was there that this is just who he is. Someone who is extremely knowledgeable and not out to simply use scare tactics to convince a potential customer that they have an issue in their home and need to hire him. I will be calling the office today to schedule a service with them. It is with 100% confidence that I will be using Motor City Steam Clean and I highly recommend them to others. Finding a company owner who leads with honesty, forthrightness and integrity is a rare find in todays society; and John has all three.
