I came Marks Music Studio because I wanted to pick up a new skill as well as do something challenging and completely alien go me. I'm 25 and had no prior understanding, knowledge, nor an education in music. Within just a few months I was able to read music, understand scales and there functions, play simple songs and most importantly do something I had previously only wished I could do. The Marks, Samuel & Lindsey, are skilled, knowledgeable, patient, and can take a person with zero musical knowledge and give them the skilled needed to enjoy a lifetime of music. I highly recommend their studio to anyone interested in learning young or old.

Will was great! Flexible, accommodating... he drove up to Grand Rapids for our wedding. He worked with us on a playlist and killed it during our cocktail hour after playing ceremony music. He even acted as our DJ after dinner to manage our playlist and was friendly and great with the guests. Highly recommend him for your event!

John and his crew at The Good Agency provided DJ service for our Wedding in June. We were able to communicate with John to go over music that we wanted at our wedding; he did a great job mixing all of the songs in throughout the night. The Good Agency is a very professional service that is always there if you have questions or concerns. They were the hit of our wedding. My wife and I highly recommend giving John a call!

We hired Brad for our wedding dance and working with him was a great experience. He played what we wanted and more. He kept the party going until we were kicked out of our reception site. I still get comments on how great the dance/music was to this day (6 months later). I would recommend Brad to anyone!

I had Woodland Studios do a remix for me and it was returned much quicker than pretty much everyone else who has ever done remixes for me. It also sounded top notch and I plan to work with Woodland Studios again in the future. I might also be interested in having them produce some of my music in the future. Highly recommended.

Had Odell DJ some of our college house parties and had great experiences with him. Played good music, brought good energy to the party, and provided a quality service overall. Will hire him again for future parties.

Ryan explained music to me in a way that I could understand and helped me really enjoy music. Ryan has a great understanding of music theory and music scales. He can make music come alive.

About

My level of knowledge regarding music is at a post-grad level. I can easily prep somebody for any musical schooling and/or work. I do NOT turn up my nose at ANY style of music or approach to making music. Whether you want to become a world class musician or a campfire strummer, I can teach you what you want with no questions asked. I don't rely on the work of others by teaching out of other people's books. I typically don't use books and when I do, it's either a handpicked song book from my student or my own book. Many of Kalamazoo's finest guitarists consider me to be their greatest teacher.

About

Why work with Tommee? Tommee has experience. Tommee is no stranger to the music scene. He has been producing/recording his own music since he was in third grade; since 2003, he has toured the country (and other parts of the world) performing live over 1,500 times. He also regularly works in Nashville, TN for songwriting, recording, and mixing alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry. Tommee doesn't hoard these experiences to himself; he shares them. Whether it's input on songwriting or mentorship on how to move forward with a touring career, Tommee genuinely cares about seeing artists/bands thrive and excel in their dreams and will help in any way that he can to make those dreams become reality. What does Tommee offer that most studios don't? Tommee has passion. Recording music is not just a job for Tommee; it's a passion. He cares about your music and won't settle for anything less than your 100% satisfaction. Tommee doesn't charge per hour because this can lead to rushed performances or unexpected editing invoices. He works with you per project/per song, so you know exactly what will cost up front. This can include anything from an acoustic demo to a fully produced song, which includes preproduction, songwriting (if preferred), tracking every instrument, studio musicians (if needed), additional programming, editing, time correcting, tuning, pitch correction, mixing (with as many tweaks as it takes) and mastering. Your project will sound really good! (See client testimonials and sound samples on website). If you have any questions or would like to have Tommee help you produce your next project (whether it's a single, EP, full album or music video), send him a message, so you can figure out a plan that works for you.
