Hey there! My name is Catalina. I’m a photographer from Jackson, Michigan, now living in Ferndale, a suburb in the Detroit area. Here’s a little about me: Over the past 15 years, I’ve grown from a published commercial photographer to a published journalist, and now into a portrait photographer. It’s been such a beautiful journey. Blending my love for the precision of a perfect shot with the documentary style I developed in journalism, I’ve discovered my own personal approach to photography. It’s felt like relearning myself—almost a metamorphosis. My work has often been described as cinematic, as if you stepped into a time machine to witness the moment firsthand. Catalina was fantastic in everything she did for our engagement. She helped me find a location while I was several hours away, was super communicative through the process, and took stunning pictures. The shoot was a lot of fun, she was able to capture a lot of great views for us and made the experience so much fun. Cant recommend enough!

Catalina was extremely helpful, responsive, kind, and professional for my recent photoshoot with her! I hired her for an hour session to capture the moment of proposing to my fiancée, and I could not be happier with the quality of Catalinas' work. Neither my fiancee or myself are very comfortable getting pictures taken, and Catalina made sure we both felt comfortable, and that we made the most of our moment. Catalina responded right away to any questions I had, and was obviously passionate about what she does. She offered to help me set up things for the proposal beforehand if I wanted help, and looked into the location I planned on proposing at before the session to make sure everything was in place! I feel that the quality of work that we received couldn't have been any higher, and I would highly recommend Catalina to anybody else looking for a photographer. Thanks again for everything!

Catalina was absolutely amazing! Even in the freezing cold weather she was a true professional. She was extremely punctual and helpful in assisting where and how the photos would be taken! Catalina did an incredible job with my pet portrait photos! They are genuinely so well done and fantastically shot and edited. She got exactly what I was hoping for and took the time to look at my Pinterest board. She was professional and kind and made sure my dog and I were both comfortable during the whole process! Highly, highly recommend.
