Regarding the pricing and value of items removed: we completely understand how frustrating it can feel when you’ve included things that seem valuable — especially items like vintage dishes, Frankoma pottery, or professional clothing. The reality is that while these items may hold personal or historical value, they often don’t sell for even a fraction of their perceived worth in today’s secondhand market. Many items, even in great condition, simply don’t move quickly or at all — and in some cases, they end up being given away just to avoid disposal. We do offer discounts when we see resale or reuse potential, as we did in your case, and we do our best to offset removal costs fairly. But it’s important to know that our pricing reflects the full service: labor, transportation, responsible disposal, and efforts to reroute as much as possible through our Free, Cheap & Antique Store, where 80–90% of items avoid the landfill. We truly appreciate your business and your transparency — and we hope to continue improving how we communicate the value and limitations of resale when these situations arise.
