My event was a family gathering for an outdoor BBQ for about 60 - 70 people. Patsey assisted me with the party arrangements and was wonderful to work with. She was very professional and also provided helpful suggestions to make my event a success. I originally contacted Cocktails N Dreams for a photo booth but added additional services (Bartender, servers, and a snow cone machine). The staff arrived on time, they were all extremely polite, very professional and made everything run smoothly. I did have a few concerns with Cocktails N Dreams . When I originally contacted them in July to book my August event Patsey completed my contract agreement and said she would email me with the contract the next day. But, a week later I had to call for the contract. It still took an additional week and another call back to receive the contract. I spoke with Kelly and she apologized & explained they had an annual event to complete and would send the contract right away. I almost cancelled but realized I din't have enough time to find a new vendor. Another concern was a discrepancy with the cost of the photo boot. Kelly sent me a quote for $300 for 3 hrs which I accepted but when Patsey called to confirm the contract she said it was for 2 and 1/2 hours. I told her we agreed on 3 hrs & she said no problem. My final concern was the rental of the snow cone machine; Patsey called me the day before my event to ask what time did I want to pick up the snow cone machine. I was never advised that I was responsible for picking it up. I told her I was too busy. She said it could be delivered for an additional $25 and I said I should cancel it. So, she decided to ask the bartender to bring it with him. This should have been discussed when the original plans were made. Customers need to known up front what they are responsible for. They should never receive a last minute notice.Aug 21, 2014Verified

They were excellent to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Metro Detroit area. We were quite pleased with the level of professionalism and friendly attitudes with the photo booth attendants. Kudos to Cocktails & Dreams for a job extremely well done.Jul 23, 2014Verified

They get 2 stars because they showed up and our tables almost looked right. But they were late, poorly dressed and didn't even start prepping food until we arrived and most of our guests didn't eat until 2 hours later. Four different people had to tell them repeatedly to stop worrying about getting salad on tables and just make the freaking sandwiches. I had to forbid one of them from touching the ranch dressing before she finally accepted that we would not be plating everyone's food. Not to mention she was serving the salad individually onto everyone's dessert plates which we supposed to be on the dessert table, not the guest tables. Finally my aunt and grandmother got up and served everyone instead. Not to mention things like stopping in the middle of everything to take picture of us (um, that's what the photographer is for) while they still hadn't started on the food. When we told Patsy what we wanted she sounded very confident, but the week before the wedding she suddenly seemed to be confused by the instructions I sent over and that conversation was a frustrating series of questions that she didn't wait for an answer to. We literally had to tell her to stop talking so we could answer. Then the day before the wedding, Kelly called to ask how much it was to get onto Belle Isle now. I reiterated the state park pass and the response was "well, you can't expect our servers to pay for that" and I told them they should have put it in the contract in the first place, but they knew from go (in March) that we'd be on Belle Isle and the state park thing had been in the works for a year and had gone into effect in February. And Patsy finally took over concluded that yes she should have put it in the contract, but continued to complain that we should have been forced to pay for it. So we went into our wedding day not recommending them and then got incompetent servers who refused to follow written or verbal instructions. And then on top of that, they were not dressed appropriately. A polo shirt, yoga pants and a hair wrap is not the "black slacks, white shirt" we thought we'd be getting when we told Patsy it absolutely was not an informal affair. Our reception was completely not what we wanted and that is owed 100% to this company.Jun 22, 2015Verified
