FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a teacher, I love being involved in education--even when I'm on the receiving end! Hardly a year has gone by in my life where I have not been enrolled in a class, attended a workshop or conference, or been actively involved in educational associations. The field of education is changing every year, and I enjoy keeping up with new trends, theories and practices!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved to share my passions with others, whether it be what I know about Japanese or a favorite book I read. I was naturally drawn to education because teachers have the wonderful job of sharing something they are passionate about with students who are willing and interested in learning!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Even though being able to practice the language you study is very important, I also believe that receiving a lot of "comprehensible input" is an important aspect of language learning. This means that the instructor speaks to his/her students at a level that is accessible to them, or provides listening material that is appropriate.
