Just DO IT! My husband and I wanted to take a couple of dance lessons so that we didn’t do a full on bear hug at a wedding reception. We did not want to be professional dancers, nor be in any competitions. We just wanted to learn social dance. To make a long story short, we connected with Allison and ended up taking several years of dance lessons just because of her. I was more enthusiastic at first, husband not so much. However, Allison made him confident. My husband is a ham now 😂. She has a way of teaching and correcting without making you feel like a failure. There are so many reasons to say why you should take lessons from Allison, just do it. You will not regret it!

Allison is such a kind and helpful ballroom dance instructor. She made every lesson fun and easy to follow, and always made us feel comfortable while learning. She’s trained in Arthur Murray and multiple professional syllabi, and she teaches every major ballroom style — Rumba, East Coast Swing, Tango, Cha‑Cha, Salsa, West Coast Swing, Bolero, Samba, Waltz, Hustle, Lindy, Quickstep, and more. Her knowledge is outstanding, and her energy makes every lesson fun. Allison is enthusiastic, patient, and incredibly supportive. I’ve performed Tango and Samba showcases with her, and she made the entire experience enjoyable and confidence‑building. She also does fantastic choreography for weddings, special events, and competitions. She has even danced with her students at events like the Senior Olympics. Allison was an awesome instructor. She made it easy and so much fun. Great personality, easy to ask questions with a comprehensive explanation. She took the time to assess how we individually would learn best. When it came to the competition she went above and beyond to support, help us get ready, explain all the processes and make sure we were as ready and confident as we could be.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I was introduced to ballroom dancing through an instructor renting space at a studio I was teaching hip hop at in 2001. After training with that instructor for a couple years, I trained to become a certified instructor through Arthur Murray and returned to teaching and competing independently.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

    I choreographed around 30 people in a flash mob parade marriage proposal. The project took about 2 months total and it was so much fun.
