I bring more than 20 years of residential carpentry and home-repair experience, including 10 years specializing in door installation with a professional contractor. I focus on smaller residential projects where experience, careful problem-solving, and clean workmanship matter. I’m particularly well suited for jobs that require adapting existing construction, solving unusual conditions, or building something that doesn’t come straight out of a box. What I focus on Doors: Entry, storm, patio, security, interior prehung and slab installations, door repairs, hardware, and opening modifications. Custom carpentry & repairs: Stairs and railings, cabinet modifications, exterior wood-rot repair, structural wood repair, framing, custom fabrication, and unusual retrofit work. Finish carpentry: Trim, casing, baseboard, millwork, and other detailed woodwork. Typical project range: Most projects I take on fall between $300 and $2,500, depending on scope. Larger custom projects are considered individually. For minor door-repair service calls, my minimum charge is $100, including up to the first hour of labor.
