So far so good. Benjamin called and we made an appointment for him to come and take a look at the work. He arrived on time, was very professional. Gave me a reasonable quote. Told me exactly what was needed and his plan to accomplish the job. The work is not scheduled to be done until October 11 (due to install date for another part of project). I will keep you posted. I will also add pictures later.
On a side note, I appreciate the fact that he was willing to come to Detroit to take a look at the work. Most contractors aren't willing to come in to the city. I don't live in a bad, rough, slummy area either. There are good people in the city, who want quality work and are willing to pay for the job. I thought this spoke volumes about Benjamin even before I met him. Thanks for still investing time in the city.

Benjamin was great with communication and fairly priced. Scott replaced 9 doors for me and was very meticulous in his work. I had ordered doors with pre drilled holes on my own and they did not work out. Scott exchanged them for the right ones without complaint. He was great with my 3 year olds running around. Very happy to have found them!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price by the job. Every job is different, your house will be unique from the next, so I can't really standardize my pricing.
I always give a fair price, and if someone comes in under my price, I will see if I can match or beat it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the customer(s)
Talk with them about there proposed remodel and figure out exactly what they are looking for.
I really like to satisfy my customers needs and see a smile on their face when we finish the work on their house.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I physically worked in the field for 10-12 years before I started quoting jobs, so that I wouldn't be quoting jobs ignorantly. I have a builders license as well as a Lead Supervisor license for Lead Abatement.
