Brent was punctual, flexible, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, fun AND funny, thorough and patient. He asked a lot of questions and was able to diagnose some of my problems quickly and accurately. Brent was a pleasure to work with, and I feel like I got my money's worth. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I’m 34 and have been training with Brent for almost 6 years. He is by far the best trainer I have ever had! A little background on me, I had been a speed skater all thru my teens and in turn had a lot of back and knee issues. I have been to physical therapy 3 separate times over the years for those issues, all of the times never fixing my problems. I then hurt my shoulder working out and went to see this “well known sports medicine doctor”, who spent a total of 10 minutes with me. He only asked a couple questions, pushed and pulled on my arm and then wrote me an RX for physical therapy diagnosing me with a pulled rotator cuff. I had met Brent a few months earlier and decided to take a different route since traditional physical therapy clinics had not worked for me in the past. Right off the bat I was shocked and delighted that Brent spent an hour with me for my assessment. He really took the time to find out the root of the problem. By the end of the appointment he figured out that I had been misdiagnosed by the highly endorsed doctor and that my real issue was a pulled bicep where it attaches in the shoulder, which he told me, gets misdiagnosed a lot. He told me that if it had been my rotator cuff there was no way that I would have been able to do everything that he had me do during my assessment. I started training with him 2-3/week and I couldn’t believe how quickly I healed and learned so much from him. I love that he educates his clients so that we know why he’s doing what he’s doing and how it affects the body. I apply the information given to me and understand that my results are driven by the degree of which I follow Brent’s advice. I will never go anywhere else, Brent is the best at what he does and he is a trail blazer in new methods and his knowledge of the human body is astounding.

I have never written an online review before, but after reading Leslie G.'s comments, I just had to speak up. I have been working with Brent for more than three years and can't recommend him highly enough. He is knowledgeable, professional and very, very good at what he does. He has helped me recalibrate my body completely. I am stronger, have no pain, and feel better than I ever have. Brent is very clear about his credentials: A BS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Michigan State University, and certifications in personal training, senior fitness, nutrition and sports nutrition. Certificates are posted in his studio. But I don't imagine Leslie saw those certificates, because I'm sure she never stepped foot in the studio. How do I know that? The $70 per-hour fee is for clients who come to him. If you ask Brent to come to your home, the higher fee applies. When I began working with Brent, he made it very clear that everything he does is tailored completely to the individual under one-on-one supervision. No mirrors, no machines, no pushing to the point of pain. He has developed his own, proprietary method that is very different from what you would find from a typical personal trainer in a gym. His overarching concern is wellness and functionality, calibrating your body so the muscles work properly and are aligned correctly. Body image and weight loss are secondary. His methodology is sound and effective. Quick to debunk the latest fitness trends, Brent will give you complete, academic explanations about everything he does if you ask him. I am a curious journalist so I always ask, and that is why I know exactly why he recommends heat-only for muscle soreness. Heat, I have learned from Brent, increases blood flow and nutrient exchange, promoting healing. Ice is used to reduce swelling and dampen pain. This can be warranted when you have a major injury and swelling, but ice will also prevent blood flow and the corresponding nutrient exchange, which makes healing take longer. I am quite sure that if Leslie is this unhappy after only three weeks, she was looking for something different than what Brent provides. And that is fair enough. I just want to make sure that other people who are looking for a knowledgeable, effective trainer don't discount Brent based on one malicious review.

If you are looking for honesty, transparent pricing and a skillset that is unmatched you have found a diamond in the rough. I have met many people from this industry as a Health Food Store owner and only refer my clients to ATT Inc. Keep up the amazing work!!

I have been in the fitness industry myself for over 20 years, both teaching fitness classes and managing fitness facilities, and I have never come across anyone as experienced and knowledgeable as Brent. I have been training with Brent for at least 5 years now and he has done more to improve my overall health and, most importantly, a shoulder issue that I have struggled with for a very long time. For years I had been referred to numerous rehabilitation facilities by very reputable doctors and orthopedic specialists for a repetitive motion injury of the shoulder. I eventually had rotator cuff surgery, which I now feel may not have been truly necessary. None of that provided the results that my training at Advanced Training Techniques has. Their whole approach is completely different from the conventional rehabilitative programs. The individualized, one-on-one attention alone provides far greater benefits and results than any typical physical therapy or rehabilitative program. Brent has an incredible knowledge of the inner workings of the body and musculature and he pays particular attention to details such as proper body alignment and posture. These basic details are often overlooked in the typical physical therapy setting. Also, the one-on-one attention and genuine concern I have received from Brent and the Advanced Training Techniques team far surpasses anything I have ever experienced before. Their methods are more intuitive and, quite simply, make much more sense. Training with one’s own body weight and building strength and flexibility through proper form and alignment produces far better results than using any of the typical rehabilitative equipment in a typical clinic setting. I would highly recommend Brent and Advanced Training Techniques to anyone. Brent is highly qualified and excellent at what he does. Not only does he have the credentials and experience, but he also has a very genuine concern for the wellbeing of all of his clients. He certainly has changed my life for the better.
