I have over 15 years of home inspection & engineering experience. All Pillar to Post Certified Home Inspectors comply with: -American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards -National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) Standards I am certified to test for: Radon / Water Testing Infrared Camera Inspections and Pool Inspections I have a Bachelors of Science in Engineering (BSME) from Wayne State University (2000) and am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (1980-1984).
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I've done home inspections for all types of people with many different backgrounds, from 10,000 sq ft. mansions to 900 sq ft. starter homes. My favorite inspections are for those first time home buyers, this is a very exciting and 'stressful' time for them and I feel it's part of my responsibility to walk them through the inspection process so that they can learn more about their future home. My inspections are probably more about education and information than anything else. A typical home inspection takes between 2 1/2 and 3 hours to complete (varies by size and age of home).
