- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Thumbtack customers, only sessions are $85 as a promotional for the first three months. I accept the following insurances: BCBSM/BCN Managed Health Network Inc Aetna Meridian Health Plan
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for working with a new customer entails a 30-minute phone consultation, to get to know you as a customer and assist you with understanding the modalities of therapy being used, what our sessions will look like moving forward and to ensure you feel I am a comfortable fit for you as your therapist.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my MSW at Andrews University in August of 1999. I am a fully licensed clinical therapist in the state of Michigan. My training entails individual, group, family and marital counseling. I am trained to handle a vast number of issues which include diagnosing mental illness, assisting patients with overcoming past and present trauma. I am an Army Captain however I am no longer on Active Duty, in the military we received an array of training to assist our soldiers and their families. I ran 7 outlined clinics in Kabul Afghanistan. I have also served in the role of a life coach. Not everyone is in need of clinical counseling some are only in need of assistance with structure and providing direction and they venture into new areas of life or seek to overcome self-defeating habits. I also have several years of experience working with children and adolescents. During my initial years, I started my career as a school social worker. I provided services to students K-12. My services were sought after in the military to provide services for the entire family especially children.
