Nick was very responsive to our initial request on Thumbtack. He was very thorough (asked the right questions) when understanding exactly what we wanted done. He was very timely starting and completing the project. Finally, and most importantly, he did a great job refinishing our ceilings (knockdown texture) and repainting our rooms. I would recommend Nick and will use him again.
We had a mess going trying to do our remodeling ourselves and it was overwhelming to say the least! We called Don and he came out and gave us fair, honest estimates for our wood flooring install, taping and painting the sheetrock we put up, removal of old wallpaper and paintin, ceramic tile installation and refurbishing our deck. Every job completed, professionally and beautifully, my husband and I are very happy with Dons work and we've recommended him to our friends and neighbors.
My wife and I had water damage on the kitchen ceiling of our just purchased house as well as a large crack and lots of flaking. Ryan and his team did an amazing job of replacing the water damaged drywall and repainting the ceiling. Everything looked perfectly uniform when done and you could not even tell there was ever any issues with the ceiling. The job was done quickly, the kitchen was perfectly clean, and the cost was very reasonable. I will use Admire The Hue Painting for any future projects and would highly recommend their services to friends and family.
Dan did an excellent job re-grouting and re-caulking our bathroom tube. He also capped our cheminee and realigned the vent in the attic. The final price was in line with his initial estimated quote. I will use his service again in the future.
THE GOOD: The paint quality is fantastic – I’ve painted walls myself before and there is a very clear difference in how professional the work looks. They painted our fireplace and I get many compliments on how amazing it looks. They crew was very nice – we were moving in the midst of the painting happening and they were great about it. Jerry, the owner, is 100% focused on customer service. He listened to what I wanted, gave advice that saved me money (against painting the trim), and responded immediately to any concern that I had. There were some issues (see below), but he did as much as he possibly could to make things right. He didn’t try to deflect responsibility and was committed to making Bryan & I as happy as we could be given the issues we faced. He was responsive and he was there in person to address issues. He fixed what he could personally, brought his crew in to show them what was wrong, paid for a carpet cleaner, and gave us a discount to replace carpet that couldn’t be fixed. THE BAD: As alluded to, there was paint on the carpet in some rooms. Most of the rooms were fixed to our satisfaction (although some still aren’t perfect but it was in rooms with white carpet that were inevitably going to get ruined anyway!). The spills seemed to happen the last day in a rush to finish the job that had been delayed – until the last day things were great. In one room the paint set-in to the carpet too long and cannot be removed, so we will have to replace the carpet (and got a discount from Jerry to cover the cost). In the rush to finish they also got paint on cabinets/wood floors (Jerry fixed), they broke a vent cover (we can fix) and they broke a switch plate cover (Jerry replaced). The other slight frustration – Jerry and I had discussed having them focus on the main floor and finish the upper level after we moved-in if necessary. They main floor was the key to finish before we moved and they had 5 days to do this. They did not follow this order. I know Jerry spoke to them several times and tried to communicate this; but the room we wanted done first was actually the last one finished. As stated several times, Jerry did as much as he could to make things right for us. Despite the issues I still give them 4 stars for the quality of work and for Jerry’s commitment to customer service. It was still a bit frustrating to have to deal with the issues; but I do believe we are the exception to how most of his jobs go!
I hired Julio to install a laminate lock floor in my basement. Julio did a fantastic job. The floor looks amazing and I was extremely happy with his work ethic and professionalism. He knew what he was doing and he completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
We recently hired Harald to paint the exterior of our home. This is the third painting project hes completed for us. It turned out great! I honestly dont think it could have been done any better. Our home literally looks brand new. Harald is a phenomenal painter. He takes his time with prepping and taping so you can be assured his lines will be straight and clean. Harald's extremely efficient and definitely has a system for how he completes a project. He often has a 3-6 week wait to start a job. Believe me, hes worth the wait. I'd wait even longer if I had to just for the peace of mind knowing it'll turn out great You wont be disappointed!
We finally sold our house in the country and were ready to move into our rental house. Our rental house had not been 'trashed' by our renters... but, it had not been cleaned for six years. . . so the dirt, dust, cobwebs and grime were T H I C K ! Kristina and her team from Spruce Up Cleaner tackled the project in a timely manner so the new paint and flooring could get in and enabled us to move into a beautiful CLEAN home on time! We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you! I highly recommend Spruce Up Cleaners!
The project was a siding replacement for house and garage. Half of the house is two floors. In total there was about 2400 square feet of floor. We used heavy duty vinyl siding. There were a lot of lights, doors, windows, corners, etc to work around. The crew did excellent work meeting these challanges. Additionally, we went with full metal cladding for all window & door trim as well as fascia, and veranda support structure. The metal cladding was formed on site and perfectly fit everything it was applied to. The crew was here at 7:00 am ready to start and worked till after 6:30 pm. Mr. Lessard was here most of the time when he wasn't retrieving additional materials that were needed as the work progressed. The result was a project that went smoothly from start to finish. It is now a year later and there have been no problems due to winter weather or spring storms. We are totally happy with the results and have no regrets for choosing to go with Tier1 Restoration.
Merl did a great job with my kitchen, taking the time to really understand my vision when other contractors thought it was silly. But, when it was all together, the combination of epoxy countertops and a penny backsplash looks amazing. Merl and her team were very professional, and they even gave me a discount after I smudged the wet countertops and she had to refinish them.
Flordek installed over 3000 square ft of epoxy chip flooring in Garage, two outdoor patios and steps. Work was completed as promised with good quality and value. Very trustworthy and very knowledgeable about products
Great looking garage floor. Professional and fast service at the worksite.
I had Frank remove wallpaper, patch holes and cracks in walls, paint the walls and ceilings in my basement family room. I found him on Thumbtack. He came out very promptly for the estimate. The price was good and he was able to meet our deadline. We got new carpet and wanted the paint work done before the carpet install. He even helped me pick the paint color. I always appreciate a professional's advice and got that with Frank. He was also very pleasant to deal with and have in our home during the project. I would use him again and recommend him to others.
Saul (Wilson) was absolutely great! I had a huge amount of interior painting. There was one area that was higher priority due to some new flooring being put in. He had a quick response and was able to accommodate the quick request and quoted a great price for the entire project. I changed from very dark colors (Red, Dark Brown, Burnt Orange) to lighter Greys. He was spot on with the amount of paint needed. Throughout the project (which took a few days) he was always on time, and ALWAYS had very pleasant attitude/personality (which I greatly appreciated). There were a few areas I noticed the old color bleeding through. (He worked a little later at night so the lighting wasn't the best to show the bleed through). I showed him the areas the next day and he took the feedback very well. He made sure touch up the areas I mentioned and said if I noticed any other areas (even after the project) he would come back and touch them up. He had a helper come in a few days that was also very nice. She did a great job helping Saul. Towards the end of the project I asked him to do a few extra items like paint a door and trim that our dog chewed when he was a puppy. He was very accommodating and got the extra areas done super fast. He really did an amazing job. If I ever need any more painting done, he's going to be the person I call from now on. I would highly recommend him and intend to refer him to friends and family.
Ken is an incredibly efficient painter! He painted my 1800 square ft home with precision. I never found any paint drips or over-spray on any baseboards, carpet or other items. He was there when he said he would be and came ready to get the job done. Extremely impressive!
A bathroom remodel that included gutting everything except the vanity. Jim and those he works with were in constant contact and kept on track as promised with timing of the project. Jim will help you coordinate all materials with the best merchants to ensure the best price. He has relationships with all of them which ensures best prices possible for countertops, cabinets, tile (including design) as well as labor. We had no idea how to approach a bathrom remodel and knew we didn't want to act as our own general contractor. Hiring Jim to oversee it, helped us get the remodel done quickly, with good quality materials at a lower price than we would probably have been able to realize on our own. The tile installer was incrediblly meticulous. It looks perfect throughout the room from the shower to the bathroom floor and other walls. They took extreme care to keep the area clean and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We won't hesitate to work with Jim and Cady Handyman in the future for other remodeling. We highly recommend Jim.
I have hired Rick for many "handyman" jobs over the years and I have always been impressed with his quality of work, timeliness and ability to tackle any job even in an old house full of unforeseen surprises. Rick has replumbed my house and fixed general plumbing issues, hung screen and steel doors, wired lights and ceiling fans, done sheet rocking, layed tile flooring, installed appliances, bathroom sinks and faucets. He has redone my steps to the upstairs by refinishing the wood, running a carpet runner and adding decorative railings. He really can do most everything you ask him to do. He is reasonably priced. I would definiteyl recommend him.
We have used Gary for a number of projects in our home, both big and small. Complete bedroom and bathroom transformation, restoration and repair of floors, walls and ceilings, and general home maintenance. I wouldn't use anyone else!
Jacob knew what he was doing. After several unsuccessful attempts to get this tile repaired, it is such a relief to have someone who is an expert at what they do finish it well. Jacob went above and beyond by helping me with some other caulking and explaining to me why certain things needed to be done. I would definitely hire Jacob at Tile and More again.
