FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is transparent and posted upfront — no surprise fees, no travel charges, and supplies and equipment are always included. The price we quote is the price you pay. Homes. House cleaning is priced by size, not by the hour — a flat rate based on how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have, so you get a real number over the phone or by message without anyone coming out to look first. A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home starts at $270, and the rate steps up from there with each additional bedroom and bathroom. We work in homes from 3 to 6 bedrooms. Recurring service is discounted: every other week is what most of our clients choose, and weekly is the lowest rate per visit. The first visit costs more than the ones that follow, because it takes us longer to bring a home to a baseline we can then keep up with — after that, each visit is quicker and settles into the regular rate. If your home has been professionally cleaned in the last month or so, just say the word and we'll start you at the regular rate right away. If you want the inside of the oven or refrigerator done, those are $40 each — optional, and never added without asking you first. Offices and commercial spaces. Commercial cleaning is priced per visit by square footage, from 1,000 up to 10,000 sq ft, with rates posted upfront. Recurring service runs roughly 10–20% below one-time rates, because maintenance takes less work than rescue cleaning: a one-time clean is rescue work, a contract is maintenance — and maintenance is cheaper per foot because you're paying us to never let it get bad. Smaller one-time cleans book directly at the posted rate, no visit needed. For ongoing service and larger spaces, we confirm the exact scope with a free 45–60 minute on-site walkthrough, and for daily cleaning or spaces over 10,000 sq ft we quote a flat monthly contract after that walkthrough — so you know your exact cost before we start.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting started looks a little different depending on whether we're cleaning a home or a workspace — but either way, you'll have a firm price before we start. Homes. No in-home estimate, ever. Tell us how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have, how often you'd like us, and whether there are pets — we'll give you the price right there in the conversation. You pick the day that works; we book at least two days out, weekdays between 9 and 4, and we give you an arrival window rather than an exact time. Let us know how you'd like us to get in — a key, a lockbox, or a door code, whichever you're comfortable with. We text the evening before every visit as a reminder. The first visit is a reset clean to bring the whole house up to standard; visits after that maintain it and go quicker. New clients pay before the first visit, and once we've got a couple of visits behind us we'll simply invoice you. And if you'd rather talk it through than type, the owner is happy to take your call before you commit to anything. Offices and commercial spaces. For smaller offices it's simple: tell us your square footage and you can book directly at the posted price — no walkthrough needed. For larger spaces and recurring service, we do a free 45–60 minute walkthrough first, and you get a written scope and exact price within 24 hours: what we clean, how often, and what it costs. The first visit is a reset clean to bring everything up to standard; recurring visits maintain it from there. We check in after two weeks and adjust the scope until it fits.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We spent years cleaning offices and homes for another company and kept a running list of everything we'd do differently — show the prices upfront, work from the same written checklist every visit, and be straight about what's included and what isn't before anyone books. Eventually the list got long enough that we started Lexonia Pro Clean and built it around those fixes.
