Computer Repair

At first, I was a little skeptical about using Thumbtack to complete my computer repair. After all, I would be trusting my computer ($1400) to a complete stranger. As a college student, I can’t really afford to buy another one. However, when I found Smart Cloud, I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my questions, and I started to believe that it was a trustworthy company. They were great at responding quickly to all of my questions. One thing that I was very happy about was the repair price that they gave. Originally, I took my computer to the Apple store, and they wanted to charge me $520 to fix my broken touchbar. Smart cloud offered to fix it all for almost $350 cheaper. I was very impressed. My only complaint about Smart Cloud is that two of my number keys on my laptop came back warped (my guess is from the heat gun to remove the old Touch Bar). But, really it is not a big deal. They work fine, they just look bad. I found some replacement keys online for $10 each that I’ll probably invest in. At the end of the day I will be retuning to Smart Cloud for my future repairs. I would recommend anybody who is needing a repair to seek services from here.

TV Mounting

I couldn’t be happier with the service they gave me this afternoon. They communicated well, even letting me know they we’re running late because an earlier job took longer than expected, and was that ok? They were friendly and engaging, and did a great job, leaving the space spotless. I had them mount a TV for me, but they do many other things too—computers, phone repair, etc. I’m so happy to have them in my “go to” list of servicemen, and I wish them great success.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Our pricing will match if not beat any big box company and most "mom and pop" shops. By wanting to make on-site repairs and support more affordable to everyone, we made tech support a more comfortable service for clients to enjoy. We have been called the "Doordash" of Tech support! If you are within our immediate service area and the service you need can be performed on-site, instead of leaving your computer at a shop and trusting they perform the work they said they would, you get to see the work be performed right in front of you. No gimmicks! If we are unable to repair it on-site then we will pickup the device or ship it to us (No additional cost), repair it, and bring it back to you or ship it back! This is how we make you live smarter, not harder. We also offer specially curated memberships that allow you to have more affordable, and continuous support.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    If the client books using our online-booking tool, they will receive an email with what they requested. The Client will then need to call us as it says in the email, to continue the service. If the client reaches out via social media, email, call or other source of contact, we would first request as many details of the issue as possible. After collecting those details, we may try a few troubleshooting techniques before officially making an appointment. If an appointment is required, we will gather some personal information and enter them into our system. they will then receive 1-2 emails depending on and regarding the service they requested. The client is required to pay for the service before the service begins. We offer a 60-day service warranty, a limited lifetime parts warranty, and a completion guarantee. Anyone can check out these warranties on our website.

    Thomas received his Comp TIA A+ certification through his high-school. He has had 4 years of school experience, 3 years of experience from Staples, and countless hours helping his friends and family. He is always willing to learn and improve himself so that he can help others that may need it.
