I first started playing music for people in the Twin Cities back in 1994 where I was getting paid to entertain 100s of people at a time! I went by the name DJ Mikey Y. Around the end of the decade, I was off to Nebraska to perform on the radio before coming back to Minnesota for the new millennium. In 2009, my best friend asked me to DJ his wedding, which I gladly accepted. It was a great experience and they were very impressed with the results - I was hooked! At that point, I decided I want to be the best and would strive to get there. I started attending conventions and workshops each year to not only see the newest technology and upcoming trends, but also how to provide the greatest experience for my clients! Weddings start at $2,000.

What didn’t we like about working with Mike?! He was awesome. We hired Mike to DJ for our son’s graduation party. He has Autism, so there were some very specific requests. Everything went very smoothly, and was exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a good DJ :)

Best DJ we ever had. Mikey and his sound man Mike were there way earlier than asked. Truly an awesome pair. Our space was a huge indoor sports dome (Healthside East Woodbury), and to our welcomed surprise they put together mulitple speakers to enhance and bring sound so beautifully together. They were beyond & above! Cudos!!!

I try to avoid fees, when I provide a price, I like to keep it a flat rate. I also offer a referral bonus.

I prefer to meet in person to go over the details. This allows both of us to understand what we need better and to ensure that we are a good match for your event.

I have Bachelors degree in communications with an Associates degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
