We hired Matt to remove a load bearing wall in our living room. He was easy to work with and was supportive of the way we wanted the job done. It ended up costing about double the initial estimate, mostly due to HVAC being found in the wall. Disappointing that this wasnt discovered until after demolition. We didnt have access to our original house plans but were hoping the hired engineer would have provided more insight.Communication was good. There were a couple times where contractors showed up to our house without notice, but this was understandable due to the scope of the project. Matt handled the communication with the city to get all the necessary permits which was very helpful.In the end we were satisfied with the results and would recommend Matt for future projects.

We worked with massoglia contracting on a large basement remodel that involved framing, plumbing, sheetrock, and finishing work. This was not our first large remodel, albeit it was our first time working with this company.Matt made sure materials arrived on time and subs were efficiently scheduled. Things come up and trade work quality control are always trouble areas when remodeling an older home and working with many different trades.When quality issues arose and work plans needed to be reassessed, Matt helped support us. Matt always picked up the phone, listened to our needs or concerns, and delivered solutions that worked for our desired outcomes. I would recommend massoglia contracting for anyone looking for remodel support.

Ah, there I was. Living the pandemic life and wanting to finally finish our basement. But alas, it wasnt meant to be for a few more years. You see, it seems like a lot of contractors were happy to overcharge for finishing a basement, no matter how simple. Some, like me, would say it was almost comical at how much they wanted to charge for what I would consider to be a basic basement finish project.Oh, but alas, our hero Matt and team arrived just in time. Did they do it for free? Of course not, that would be silly. What I can say is that they were reasonable. All of the budgeting was based on setting realistic expectations, which took place over many, many, many phone calls; thats a good thing. Matt and team were happy to answer my never ending series of questions. Questions lead to answers, which lead to determining exactly what you want and what you dont want. Coincidentally, this also aligns with what Matt and team would sign up for, who knew?Aside from some minor materials setbacks that cannot be pinned on Matt (looking at you Home Depot), all went according to plan. Even when there was a hiccup or if something had to be corrected, they were taken care of in a timely manner to address my concerns. Our project was on time and on budget, cant ask for much more than that can you?To make a long story longer, if youre looking for someone to help with your renovation or general project needs, you cant go wrong with Matt and team.
