He wanted more money anyway he could think of. He did not have the skills at first to do the job.I give him credit for looking at a video for how to lay Life Proof materials so that part of the job work improved. He made up some excuse that I was scared of him cause he told me he had a record. Lie. I encouraged to come back and finish the job. He walked down the street with his tools waiting for his spouse to pick him up. He was over payed 183.00 dollars as I wrote his a check for 320 plus 137 in cash. 320 - 137 equals 139. His bid was 249.00. He also kinked the copper cord on my stove which noticed by a friend, which could have been very dangerous when turning the gas back on as the gas could not flow through the pipe correctly. His name was Lance. I was hopeing he was trying to improve his life back he spent more time texting me on how to get more money out of me. I did damage 2 boards undoing his work that was done leaving large seams, then when he finally learns how to do this work he leaves because I told his he owed me 183.00 back as I overpayed him. Now he leacves with the job unfinished. I tried to help him - i bought the materials he needed. I took all the trim off myself. Now I have a floor undone. I got my gas line to the stove fixed for 224.00 and my refrig. is still in the dining room. Can this be good?

On 06/02/2022 I showed up at customers address to finish placing flooring at agreed time 9:45am￾10:00am. Upon arrival customer apologized for attempting to place flooring panels herself when I was off site. She then told me to watch a video about flooring installment which I turned down and start to look at current state of project. After inspecting flooring panels I informed client I would need to take flooring off to see if there more damage then what was on surface (chips & cracks at edges, corners & portions of interlocking edges completely chipped off. I informed customer that we couldn’t use the damaged pieces & I would need to restart flooring with undamaged pieces & with the damaged ones I could use the undamaged portions for cut-planks (cut-planks used to stagger) She asked me to come with her to look at the other flooring (the flooring in her room wasn’t staggered evenly and the edges didn’t line up like there supposed to) she said she didn’t care. I responded that for finish work there are certain rules that professionals follow to insure that the finished work is evenly measured and the pattern continues throughout the flooring. I told I would have to follow these to make sure the customer (her) couldn’t complain or say I didn’t the job right. Going back to the placing the flooring I had to clean area of derby because the chipped & cracked pieces from her involvement on project. Which she didn’t inform me or notify me beforehand only upon arrival at site I also told you I wasn't going to snap flooring into place until I had did the small closet 2x3' and floor vent precut and flooring ready to place. I had to text you because you were asking for me to do other duties that wasn't in the first agreement. Like havimg to tear up existing flooring because of water/damp areas had started to unstick and pull-up off the floor. You did tell me you wanted me to lay new over the old but that dosen't make it, plus you was the one who had wanted to visit and then ask to watch a video about placing flooring which is insaulting. I all photos and texts save & on a document. Sorry but demo-work has a price and also I took all trash and old flooring with me to save you the costs of paying for it.
