About
It all starts with “Hey! Just one quick question”. We humans seek understanding in our world. Today, that involves understanding the devices we use daily, and sometimes, navigating the little surprises in how they function. Things, like, “how come these emails look different” or “why is my battery always low”. Simple questions that often have real answers behind the ‘why’, Quick Question Tech seeks to scratch the itch and empower users to better understand their gadgets.

I have been very fortunate to work with Quick Question Tech for over three years. I work primarily with Matt Norris but know he consults with his colleagues on tricky tech issues. I am a consultant that works primarily from home after over 25 years in the corporate world. I went from working with large IT departments that provided everything from pre-configured laptops; remote assistance (from a real person) when traveling; and tech assistants that could be at my desk within in minutes to being HOME ALONE. So, like the movie I went from having everything I needed to desperately improvising on a daily basis. My transition was a daily battle with my technology to the point I wasn't sure I could stand on my own two feet. I decidedly don't speak "tech" and no longer have any office colleagues to lean on for quick tips and/or questions. I have learned the hard way that seemingly small questions can be the most vexing. I kept running into software roadblocks that are easily solved with the right knowledge and experience. I knew I needed help - I was reasonable competent on the basics (Word, Excel, email, etc.) but terrible with trouble-shooting and workarounds. Then I met Matt Norris. I met Matt through a person that shared my tech dilemma. Since then Matt has helped me learn to wrangle my freestanding laptop, learn new, better ways to use tech to my advantage and reduce my need for Advil on a daily basis. He can figure out almost anything within a few minutes and will reliably provide a quick recommendation when researching a problem is required. I have worked with Matt over the phone, via text, email and facetime and in-person at my home and in public places like the library. No matter how panicked I sometimes feel, when I call with an SOS, Matt is always calm, cheerful, helpful and nonjudgmental when it come to my tech deficiencies. In addition to the "quick tech" assistance he has also helped my with my long-game meaning things like ensuring I have adequate protection from "intruders" and how to secure my files in three locations - not solely two. He is also fluent in Apple and PC - I use a little of both so that knowledge is a big deal for me. In short, it is a pleasure to recommend Matt and his colleagues at Quick Question Tech. I have peace of mind that help is close-by when I need it and no longer wish I still had a teenager at home.

I’m so thankful to have found someone who’s not just trying to sell me new equipment. Not only was Scot friendly, he listened to my issues, and addressed them one by one. We were able to make a plan for my digital things going forward, and I know I can always call if I run into trouble. At no time did I feel talked down to, still Scot’s ability to meet me where I’m at was so helpful. Thank you QQT!
