Introduction: 1) Over 25yrs DJ experience professional themed events, specializing in the early funk and disco era from the early 1970's through the early 1980's. 2) As interactive as you want him to be: Just Play That Funky Music or Disco Inferno. 3) Dr Funky brings over 20,000 songs to every event. More than enough to stay in the 70's and early 80's disco funk era, or he can mix it up and play current music too. 4) Lots of Groovy Games to play and plenty of Fun Retro prize packages. 5) He's one of the last remaining DJs in the Twin Cities MN whose experience actually goes back to the 70's when the songs from this era were new on the charts. 6) Dr Funky uses 100% digital songs, many re-mastered from his original vinyl records, and all-professional sound and lighting equipment for the best retro dance experience. Every party is different, we excel at getting everyone to get up and dance by being interactive and reading the crowd to gauge mood and tempo as for what to play next. We stay in the 70's all night or mix it up at your request.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I love top do theme and costume parties. 70's parties are what I live for of course, but I can play any era for as long as needed. Some of the best company parties I DJ at are costume 70's parties.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't settle for an ordinary DJ who thinks they have enough retro or 70's music. Ask some tough questions ans see how deep their library is or demand to see it online.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

An MP3 player can't do what I do. Doesn't matter how many songs you load into it either. You can only play about 50 songs in a night. A good DJ is worth a 1000 ipods.
