I found Karis financial advisory and planning services online after searching for a Minneapolis/St. Paul located fiduciary advisor who could review my mothers overall finances and answer some questions about annuities, which I was not very knowledgeable about.If you do not have a lot of time to read the rest of this review, I will just say this: I have now been working with Kari and Adaptive Financial Design for over two years, and I highly recommend her and her company. I have sent several friends and family members her way for help with financial planning.Kari was able to help us greatly when it came to my moms finances. My mom had an annuity that I personally did not understand, and Kari helped us make sense of how it worked. She also helped us review and reallocate my moms 401(k), IRA, and cash on hand. At one point, Kari even got on the phone with us and my mothers annuity provider to help get some questions answered.At the end of our first session in 2024, my mom, my sister, and I all walked away feeling a lot better. We finally had a clear plan for my moms finances going forward. We now touch base with Kari one to two times a year to review my moms overall portfolio.Kari was so great to work with that I have encouraged several friends to hire her as well. They did, and they had nothing but positive things to say when we talked about their experience. My sister also had Kari review her finances, and I recently hired Kari to review my own personal portfolio too.It is worth noting that if you are looking for ongoing investment management, Kari also offers AUM services. I also love that everything can be done remotely. She offers a free initial consultation, which is really nice because it gives you a chance to understand what she offers and how her pricing works at no charge to you.Overall, I am still referring people to Kari whenever money topics come up. I plan to keep working with her, and I know my friends and family members do too.
