Introduction: I have been a freelance photographer for more than 20 years and have captured images of people and places in nearly 100 countries. Each new place taught has taught me something new to create a unique vision as a photographer. I have been published by National Geographic five times and have shot professional athletes to Presidents and use a variety of cameras, lenses and external flashes as well as the latest image editing software to provide you high-end finished products.
I own a private studio and can accommodate you at a location of your choice. My laid back style will make you feel comfortable being photographed. Currently I am an adjunct professor where I teach numerous courses in photography and geography.
I enjoy meeting people and sharing experiences; I work with you to get the shot(s) you want and often explain what I'm doing as I'm doing it so you get to experience the process with me. I have fun photographing people and that helps you to feel comfortable so that I can get you looking the most natural.
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What I have caught on camera is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. To take a photograph is to participate in another persons (or things) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out a moment and freezing it.
