- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I painted houses and apartments to pay for college at the U. of M.. After graduating with a B.A., I used my extra-gained connections, and passion for self-employment to continue on.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our main stream of service for residential work involves: painting of walls, ceilings, wood work. Texturing of walls/ceilings. Applying epoxy coatings to garage floors. Power-washing and restaining/painting of decks, house siding/trim, and fences.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for at least 3 refrences...(for completed jobs similar to yours). Always meet with the contractor (in person) at the job-site prior to awarding the job...was the contractor on-time for the meeting, did he/she appear to be a tidy and organized person?
