Massage Therapy

Great experience! I was having low back pain and knew I needed a good massage. Thang hit all the right spots and I left feeling way better. Just moved here from Dallas and I’ve found my new massage place on the first try!

Massage Therapy

I had a great experience with Impact Massage and Bodywork! They were so responsive and I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was needed, as I had so much back pain and couldn’t wait longer. My massage was with Roe, and she did an awesome job. It was exactly what I needed. I would definitely recommend Roe and Impact Massage and Bodywork!

Massage Therapy

Just got done with a 60 minute session with Sam. Hands down one of the best massages I’ve ever received. She was super professional, friendly, and really fun to talk to. Overall an incredible experience. Would definitely recommend to everyone! If you’re local and looking for a great massage, definitely check these guys out and ask for Sam! You won’t be disappointed. If I come back to the Twin Cities area any time soon I will definitely be back.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

$80/Hour Regular Rate $70/Hour Introduction Rate Packages Of 6 $60 Savings Membership: $70/Month (1 Massage/Month) Sales Tax 7.5% Dr. Note Then It's Tax Exempt

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Unlike most places, we give some extra time for intake and closure so that it does not come out of your hands on time. New clients fill out a short intake form and answer a few questions from the massage therapist so the therapist understands what to focus on during the session. During the session there may be some communication to ensure comfort and efficiency. After the session the therapist has a closure time frame to go over what was found and some possible self care/stretches that can be done to help with the issues that were found.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Louis Newstrom - Owner/Licensed Massage Therapist - Graduated with honors from Anthem College Massage Therapy program - Northwestern Health Sciences University's winter symposium - "Treating Chronic Lower Back Pain" - Medical Massage Seminar "Secrets Of Deep Tissue with Robert Hasse" Treating 30 of most common injuries and conditions in massage therapy - Centerpoint Seminar "Active Isolated Stretching with Roger McNear" - Cross Country Education's "Orthopedic Massage Techniques for Cervical Pain" Juliana Bertelsen - Certified Massage Therapist Juliana Bertelsen became certified as a massage therapist in Santa Barbara, California in 2002. She has worked at Dallmeyer Physical Therapy Clinic and the Encina Lodge hotel spa in Santa Barbara, and as a referred massage therapist for Sender-O'Hara chiropractic in Goleta, CA. Juliana moved to Minnesota in 2004, and worked as a massage therapist at the University of Minnesota Duluth in the Recreational Sports and Outdoor program department from 2007 to 2013, for Shear Katz Aveda Salon from February of 2010 to September of 2014, and as an independent contractor with private clients and for numerous events such as chair massage for businesses, and massage for triathlons, and other athletic events. Juliana says "My goal with my clients is to eliminate or greatly reduce pain and stiffness which keeps them from doing the best they can in physical activities or feel the best they can in daily life, to generate relaxation, increase range of motion, heal from trauma, and reduce stress. I am known for having strong hands, and the ability to empathize with the patient's needs. I had a previous 12-year career as a professional Ballet dancer, some experience with martial arts, and have participated in triathlons. I fully recovered from foot surgery, and from a MVA where I was badly rear-ended. All of these experiences have really helped me to understand better the body's muscles, fascia, and spine, what people need out of their massage, and how to be a better massage therapist. I look forward to meeting you, and to helping your life feel better." Carolyn Wharton - Certified Massage Therapist Carolyn is a Certified Massage Therapist with eight years of professional experience. She has extensive training in Sports, Orthopedic, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal Massage, as well as Trigger Point Therapy, and Cupping. Carolyn graduated from Cortiva Massage Institute in Boston, Massachusetts in 2010. She is Orthopedic Massage Certified through the OMERI Institute and Nationally Certified through NCBTMB. Over her career she has worked with many athletes throughout their training season, keeping their bodies in optimal shape and helping prevent injuries. She has worked on both chronic and acute issues with clients, sometimes consulting with other health care professionals for optimum results. She also has extensive knowledge in stretching and self care advice. She expertly tailors the massage to meet the specific needs of each client, providing a relaxing yet strong and effective massage. When not in the massage room she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, live music, and spending time with family and friends. Scott Armendariz - Certified Massage Therapist Scott is a certified massage therapist with three years of professional experience working at a chiropractic clinic alongside massage therapists, chiropractors, and physical therapists. A graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University's program with an associate's degree in massage therapy, he is certified in neuromuscular therapy from the NMT Center, and carries a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Growing up with four siblings and playing soccer from a young age, massage therapy has been a key element in keeping Scott active and off the bench. Using a variety of techniques, including trigger-point therapy, cross-fiber friction, myofascial release, and neuromuscular therapy, he works with your body to reduce scar tissue buildup and decrease symptoms of pain and tightness. Over the course of his experience, Scott has worked with a wide range of patients, from high-intensity athletes like marathon runners, competitive rowers, and skiers, to the general population. In all cases, he incorporates a slow, steady pace that allows areas of restriction and trauma to relax before being manipulated, ensuring the most potential for change and recovery from both acute and chronic issues. In his spare time, Scott can be found watching MN United FC games or on the soccer field playing, quoting his favorite movies and songs, or enjoying summer weather with walks around the lakes and multiple concerts.
