It's very common for students to dislike math and science. These subjects are generally regarded as the most demanding and complex which, when improperly explained, can truly be the case.
Imagine, for a moment, that the topic wasn't so daunting--homework didn't take hours upon hours and exams felt comprehensible. That's where I come in!
I love working with each student individually, customizing each session to maximize their learning and conceptual understanding. I'll recognize their difficulties because, at some point, I'm sure I had the same questions. I'll explain topics in a way I wish my teachers had long ago. Soon they'll be saying, "Hey! Look what I can do!" instead of, "I hate math/science!"

I am a returning adult student, who has forgotten almost all the Math I learned years back. Jon was so patient with me and started with the basics. He never made me feel embarrassed for having to go back to the beginning with Algebra. Jon showed me techniques of how to learn and solve Math problems in a much better way than the text I was given. He also had helpful tips on how to study and reinforce the information. I was pleased with how quick he always was to respond to e-mails or texts, and was impressed that he offered many times to answer anything I was stuck on between tutoring sessions. Jon was always on time for our weekly appointment. I will highly recommend him to anyone I know and anyone reading this that needs some Math help. As soon as I am enrolled in more Math classes, I will not hesitate to contact Jon again.

Jon met up with me under very short notice and I couldn’t be more happy he did!
I felt like I learned more in our 2 hour session than I did in my entire semester of college algebra.
I have a hard time paying attention but he managed to explain things quickly and simply, so I understood concepts pretty easy and did not zone out at all.
He also took the time to send me study information after our session was over, I really appreciate that!

Finally, the school year is done.
Phew…what a year it was for us.
Our 7th grader(Going to 8th this fall), Shresht struggled for the first half of the year with Math. He used to get all stressed out and it was affecting his personality.
And then we found this personal tutor Jon….Jon was a god sent. Jon has been a wonderful tutor and a great influence on Shresht. Shresht would look forward to meeting with Jon each week and work together on problem-solving….he helped him to start liking math.
Shresht completed the school year with good grades and has decided to pursue the CBE based test-out this summer.
So if all goes well, he should be doing Pre-Calc in 8th grade.
We are very happy and wanted to put it out, just in case, this could help other kids/parents.

I can not say enough about the tutoring my son has received. Jon has been an amazing help. He is organized, patient and very knowledgeable. He has found a way to make math far less frustrating for my son, and has helped him to raise his grades considerably.

I struggled with basic math before working with Jon and had trouble memorizing and working with math problems. Since working with him I have been able to excel in my math courses and finally be understand how to solve math equations.
