- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Affinity Moving uses clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Local moves are quoted based on crew size, hourly labor, travel time, and the details of your home (stairs, distance, packing, and timing). Every job includes a standard $100 booking fee. We do not run bait-and-switch quotes or surprise charges on move day. Discounts are not applied automatically; any adjustment is handled manually by an authorized team member when appropriate. Your written estimate breaks out labor, travel, materials, bulky items, and protection options so you know what you are paying for before you book. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free estimate. You can share your move details online in about 30 seconds or speak with a coordinator by phone. We confirm dates, access (stairs, elevator, parking), inventory, and any packing or specialty needs. For larger or complex moves, we can arrange a virtual walkthrough so the quote matches what our crew will handle on site. Once you approve the estimate, we reserve your crew, send confirmation details, and stay in touch leading up to move day. On the day of the move, our licensed, insured crew arrives on schedule, protects your home and belongings, loads, transports, and places items where you want them. After the job, we wrap up billing and follow up to make sure everything went smoothly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Affinity Moving is a licensed and insured moving company operating under USDOT 4134991, MnDOT 385091, and MC 1739901. Our crews are trained on safe lifting, furniture protection, disassembly and reassembly, packing standards, and customer communication. Team members are vetted before they work on customer jobs and follow company procedures for loading, transport, and placement. We stay current with Minnesota carrier requirements and industry best practices for residential, commercial, apartment, senior, and long-distance moves across the Twin Cities metro.
