Our Private Chef Service offers clients a wealth of different menu options fully customizable to budget and cuisine. With many years of experience cooking a variety of American and Ethnic cuisines, Chef Erik Jacobs is able to present your guests with a dining experience that is as formal as you need it to be, or as relaxed and casual as a lazy Sunday dinner. Specialties include Northern Italian, Provençal French, Regional Mexican, Peruvian, Caribbean, Southeast Asian, and California inspired Meditteranean.
Especially skilled at providing Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan and Vegetarian Menus. I have a deep wine knowledge, and Wine pairings with menus are always an option!
I have been following my passion for the craft of cooking for over 25 years. A restless cook, I am always reading, traveling, and experimenting with new cuisines and techniques. I truly have "Wanderlust" in my soul and bring that spirit of adventure to each event I craft for you. I have cooked in many fine dining restaurants, have been a Chef Instructor in a culinary school, am a food writer, and have owned and operated my own establishments before choosing to provide my services as a Private Chef for those who share my excitement about a well considered meal, flawlessly executed.

I have never been a client of Wanderlust, or Erik Jacobs, but I was there at the beginning of Wanderlust. During my time with Wanderlust, we catered many gigs, both big and tiny. The beauty of Wanderlust is that it is a totally self contained operation; meaning it can go anywhere! The vintage Airstream trailer and wood-fired oven bring a cool ambiance to any occasion.
The pizzas Erik creates are perfect; the crusts are chewy and crunchy, with just the right amount of char. The toppings can range from traditional to eclectic, and are always fresh and seasonal. Erik is great at experimenting with flavor profiles and is easy to work with to personalize a menu for a special event.
The uniqueness of Wanderlust is completely memorable and so is the food!

Erik was my next door neighbor when he conceived of converting an
airstream trailer into a wood-burning pizza kitchen. Immense creativity in
kitchen design was only surpassed by his culinary and naming skills. An
example, "stinky tinkle" is a wonderful pizza toped with asparagus spears.
And he just gets better and better! No matter what taste combination you
desire, Erik can create your own unique and totally memorable pizza.

I have hired Erik's Wanderlust pizza truck for several events and speaking from a professional stand point, he produces the BEST pizzas I've ever tasted. The crust is crispy yet bubbly, the tomato sauce is not over powering, amazing selection of cheeses and the toppings ................well just makes it one of the best pizzas ever.
The pizza truck is unique, extremely friendly service, pricing is appropriate and voila your in heaven.
Trust me that you won't regret hiring Wanderlust and this is coming from someone who will be hiring his services again and again.

I love the pizza that comes out of that wood fired oven. The ingenuity that goes in to the various pizzas is amazing and the results are pizza perfection. The ingredients are always first rate and shows in the finished product. I am a big fan of chef Erik Jacobs and Wanderlust Pizza, always a first class experience.

Erik possesses an absolute calm and ease in the kitchen that is a bit surprising until I saw how quickly, efficiently and delicious his food is when done. It's kinda amazing. He is both resolutely confident and understated in abilities. His food speaks for itself which is also understated yet flat our crazy delicious. And, yes, indeed, the best pizza I've ever eaten.
