Introduction
I am a professional musical theatre performer and instructor in the Twin Cities. I have performed at the Guthrie, the Old Log Theater and with the National Theatre for Children. My students aren't just musicians- they are each informed, unique performers. While foundational basics are integral to my teaching style, you better believe we are approaching each piece with an irreverent point of view!

Xan has been providing piano lessons for my children, ages 8 and 10, for over a year. She comes to our home once a week for lessons and she has been great with beginner players. My kids love her and have never once complained about their piano lessons with her! THAT says a lot! Both kids have made significant progress with Xan. Xan is fun, knowledgeable, and motivating. She knows how to keep her students interested in learning, and fully engaged, and in between the piano playing, I hear lots of laughing and singing as well. Overall, my kids enjoy learning from Xan and I’m happy she is our piano teacher!
