FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price videos on a project basis. Our pricing will include everything from our time on-set to equipment rentals, crew, planning meetings, music licensing fees, stock footage licensing fees, and editing. Your video length is not always a strong factor in a production's cost. We price based on what it will take to deliver the video you are looking for, whether it is 30 seconds long or 20 min long. Some simple long-form videos can be priced lower than a complicated 30-second video shoot and vice versa.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process follows three critical phases: Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. Following this process ensures the final video we deliver matches your requirements with stunning results. Pre-Production is the time we spend together brainstorming ideas, storyboarding the video, scheduling the shoot, renting equipment and spaces if needed, and finding talent (actors). Production is when we are actively filming with our cameras and Post-production is the editing stage. In Post-Production we color correct and color grade footage, add music, subtitles, animations, and more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Visual Captive was founded by Phil Skulte who first began his creative career as a photographer 11 years ago. He made the transition to video and found his true calling. We deploy the latest cinema cameras, lighting, and sound to produce high-quality results for our clients.
