- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer is interested in my work, I will have a phone call with them to discuss what they are looking for in a highlight video, how long they would like me to be there for and answer any questions they may have. If they feel that I am a good fit for them, I will send them a contract to be signed. I will reach out to the customer about a month before their wedding to gain details of their wedding day: finalized timeline of the day, time to arrive/leave, anything they would like to add on to their plan, and go over any other questions they or myself may have prior to their wedding day. On the wedding day, I will show up on time to scope out the venue and start capturing the details of the wedding and venue, any getting ready shots and first looks. I typically follow the photographer's lead and capture what I need from their direction of how they want you postitioned in their photos. When the ceremony starts I will be moving around to capture different angles. Depending on what package is chosen I will capture parts of the reception and dance before leaving for the day. I do like to inform all my clients that I try to capture as much as I can on the day of the wedding. Not everything I capture from the day may get into the video due to lighting, angle, timing or doesn't help the video flow well. When I am in the editing process, I sort all the files and fit them into place like a puzzle. For song selection, I look for copyright free music to use in all my videos. I listen to many songs before selecting a song that fits your wedding day. Every wedding video is intentionally filmed and edited to reflect your story, ensuring your highlight video is uniquely tailored to your wedding day!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with a local band a few times filming some of their music content for Youtube. My first wedding that I had captured was a friend who knew I was interested in getting into the wedding field, this got me started in this field of videography. I am self taught and learn from every wedding I have captured.
