Here are some recommendations of what to look for in choosing the right contractor for your job: Make sure they are licensed, bonded and insured. Ask what areas they are certified in. Check them with the Better Business Bureau. Ask for some previous job referrals. How long have they been in business? Are they professional and Knowledgeable? Will they create a free estimate for you? Are they requiring money upfront prior to any work? If so why and how much. Have they been easy to contact and have they returned your calls in a timely manner? Getting this information upfront will benefit you in choosing which company to go with. You goal is to have your project proceed smoothly and in a timely manner. Remember that you are the customer and it is your right to also have some control.
