FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When determining the pricing for a project, I consider three key factors: site conditions, project scope, and material selection. Site conditions encompass the location and logistics of accessing the bathroom. Is the bathroom located on the main level of a single-family home or on the 10th floor of a condominium with elevator-only access? Is space available onsite for debris storage and parking? What city or municipality has jurisdiction and what are the permit fees? All of these elements contribute to the project's feasibility and cost. The project scope defines the extent of the remodel. This involves determining whether the bathroom will be demolished down to the studs and fully rebuilt or if the work is limited to replacing specific elements, such as a shower, vanity, etc. Assessing the condition of the existing mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and whether they need to be relocated or replaced. Material selection pertains to the surface components of the remodel, which play a critical role in both functionality and aesthetics. This includes items such as toilets, vanities, faucets, bathtubs, tiles, countertops, etc. Each material choice carries its own cost implications and are often tailored to each client's budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is arranging an on-site consultation. This meeting enables me to gain a clear understanding of each client’s objective for their bathroom. Additionally, it affords the client the opportunity to meet with me and pose any questions or concerns they may have regarding the remodel process. Upon conclusion of the consultation, I prepare an estimate, which I then submit to the client for review, approval, or further refinement as needed.
