Drywall Installation and Hanging
He over charged double of what the job consisted of. Verified with 5 other contractors to confirm. The job should only cost $500-$700 and he tried to charge me $1600 for 5 hrs of work in total. When I explained that he has over charged me and I wasn’t going to pay the additional $800 he said he will put a lien on my house. I have a 10x40 room that all I needed was the seams and butts taped and sanded ready for paintJul 30, 2018VerifiedJC Home Remodeling INC's reply
Today Dear Customers, JC Woodfloor Installation is an honest and reliable company. We have been working for over 16 years and we serve customers in an honest and professional way by delivering top-quality work on their projects. When I met up with Mr. Greg, he said that he had already got some other estimates, and he liked my price. He said that after meeting up with other contractors, and taking into consideration my price and reviews, he decided to sign a contract with me. The job was to tape, mud and sand two walls and a ceiling. The ceiling and the drywall that was there had been installed incorrectly by Mr. Greg himself, and I also had to fix all the mistakes, and add drywall where it was needed. The two walls were 8x by 6x, and the ceiling was 10x by 40 feet. We both decided to sign the contract to do the job at the price of $1,600 Mr. Greg paid half the money up front, but once the job was completed he avoided me for four days, and then eventually, after giving me the run-around, said he had no intention to pay me the rest of the money. We are working though Thumbtack by Thumbtack reaching out to Mr. Greg so he can honor the contract. Please let me emphasize JC Woodfloor Installation provides services in an honest, professional, and reliable way, and we honor our contracts.
Tile Installation and Replacement
It's 3 weeks since completion, and I'm noticing several problems and areas that were either missed or done poorly. The contractor has stopped responding to messages, as well. I recommend that you get all work to be completed specifically documented as well as how any issues will be addressed.Sep 10, 2015VerifiedJC Home Remodeling INC's reply
I was able to complete a bathroom remodel for Justin. I put in new tile on the walls and floor. I installed a new toilet, bath tub, medicine cabinet, and light fixtures. After I completed the work he let me know that he was happy with it and had written me a good review. After I had completed the job, he had asked me about completing other jobs in his home but he had not yet paid me for the bathroom remodel. After I declined taking on more jobs, to avoid not being paid again, Justin reached out to Thumbtack and changed his review. As mentioned in my profile I take great pride in providing meticulous-quality work. Customer satisfaction is my main goal and upon my customers having any concerns I am more than happy to address them.
Hired originally to design and install a barn door in a hallway but his work was so reasonably priced and his craftsmanship was excellent that we also had him build a mantel. Along with that he mounted our 65 inch tv on tile. I will keep his number handy for additional projects in the future.Apr 29, 2016Verified
Julio, Has completed multiple jobs for us! Some planned and some as a result of disaster. When disaster struck he came over as soon as he could to assess the issue! He installed stairs to an attic so we could enjoy extra storage space! He finished a laundry room counter so we could enjoy more space for folding. A fireplace mantle on the fireplace was very small and unimpressive. He found reclaimed wood for us with three pricing options so we were able to pick the piece of wood that not only looked great but met with our budget restrictions. He installed the mantle and also found smaller reclaimed wood for shelves. Everything was stained to the color we requested and installed. Lastly we had a shower leak through the kitchen ceiling ( the disaster) he fixed the tile leak, ensures the area was properly drying and mold free and once we were sure the problem was fixed repaired the kitchen ceiling. He is dependable.. He gets back to you when he says he will, agrees to changes in the job, listens, is personable, cleans up and great to have in our home. I would highly recommend!Oct 22, 2015Verified

Quote was more than $2k higher then everyone else who is licensed to do the same work. The only work we asked for was sheetrock, tape and mud a 2 4X13 space. We mentioned nothing about electrical or anything else. Again, all we need was Sheetrock, tape and mud and that was explained to you in person. I'm sorry you didn't understand and thought we wanted you to do a complete remodel of the kitchen when the emails that went back and forth explained it a long with homeowner.Mar 1, 2019Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We provide the customer with a free estimate and new and old reviews, and if requested, we also provide references.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a welder by trade and work in construction equally well, plus I have done customer service, therefore, I believe I'm qualified to work with customers so they ultimately are satisfied with their projects and have a great experience.
