FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer lessons in packages rather than single sessions, so you get consistent progress and support. Each lesson is tailored to your skill level and goals, with hands-on practice, homework, and feedback between sessions. Pricing is transparent and straightforward—no hidden fees, just focused learning designed to help you grow step by step.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new student reaches out, I start by learning about their goals, experience level, and what excites them about photography. From there, we schedule an initial lesson where I walk through camera basics or the area they’d like to focus on most. Each package includes structured lessons, hands-on practice, and homework between sessions so you can apply what you’ve learned right away. I give feedback on your photos and adjust each lesson to fit your pace and style. My goal is to make learning photography approachable, practical, and fun while helping you build real confidence behind the camera.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Master Photographer with over 25 years of professional experience. I hold a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and studied at the New York Institute of Photography. My career began in film and darkroom photography and has grown to include portraits, weddings, and commercial work, giving me a wide range of real-world knowledge to share. Alongside my photography business, I’ve taught and mentored photographers at all levels—from complete beginners learning their first camera to advanced students refining their style. My approach combines formal training, professional experience, and creative storytelling so students not only learn the technical skills but also how to express their vision through photography.
