Introduction: Greetings, my name is Brent. I am a guitar & music theory instructor who resides in St. Paul, MN, but I am offering guitar lessons to students in any location via Zoom (or other telecom service that may suit the student). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Guitar Performance, and I have taught for over 16 years. Details and skillset:
- I teach age 8 up to adult and beginner to advanced players.
- Main styles I play/teach: Pickstyle and Fingerstyle, Rock/Blues (Beatles, Jimi Hendrix...), Jazz (improv, exotic harmonies...), Classical (Beethoven, Chopin...), Metal (arpeggio sweeps, speed techniques...), and a bit of everything in between (Bossa Nova, Country, East Indian...).
- I discuss and work with each student to help them meet their desired musical goals. I often write out PDF lessons that are catered to the student's specific musical needs and understanding. Various materials I provide include chords, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, left + right hand techniques, note reading, music theory, improvisation, thousands of song transcriptions, etc. I can also recommend some really great music books.
- Lessons could be weekly, every other week, or even scheduled one-off lessons. I have various time slots available everyday.
