Introduction: My 30+ years of professional makeup artistry include movies, print, makeup trend videos, runway, special events such as weddings, graduation photos, individual consultations, and makeup lessons. I work with photographers locally and nationally. My clients are celebrities, executives from Regis, Target, United Health Care, entrepreneurs and many clients from all over the world. I am known as a consistent, dependable and patient makeup artist bringing calmness and professionalism to any event or project. My philosophy on makeup is that women and men of all ages, background, lifestyles and skin shades want to be beautiful every day. This is why I created the brand and trademarked my makeup application. It is the only professional cosmetic line that is personalized for an individual woman’s needs through teaching her renowned application: “10 steps to a Beautiful Face™”. After getting my education at the U of MN I began my career in the fashion/beauty industry first by owning a boutique clothing store and then went on to work for companies i.e., Sephora, Revlon, Dayton’s, Prescriptives in executive positions of sales, management and training. I also created and owned a makeup training center and one of the largest makeup artists agencies in Southern California in the 90’s. I developed my own cosmetic brand julie martin makeup (formerly resolutions lifestyle makeup) in 1996 and have used it exclusively because of the great results that it gives in photos and for everyday makeup. jmm is supported by executives, photographers, and clients from all over the world.
