FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are flat rate so you don't have any surprises. I tell you up front what your repair is going to cost and I have no "hidden" charges. Price list for common repairs can be found on the website.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common job is a full system restore for $100. I completely wipe the system clean and install Windows fresh again. This ensures that there are absolutely no viruses or malware hiding in the cracks of your operating system. I of course back up your data and transfer it onto your system once it is cleaned up. This is done at no additional charge. For these same services at other shops, you will be looking at $200-$300 or more.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A customer brought in a computer that he had taken to the Best Buy "Geek Squad". They told him they could not fix the computer unless he purchased a recovery disk from them. This cost would be on top of the $180 charge for wiping the system clean and installing Windows. I was able to locate the hidden Recovery Hard Drive partition on their system and do a full reinstall off of that. I was able fix their computer in under 24 hours after Best Buy told them it could not be done unless they purchased a recovery disk. In the end they saved over $120 and weeks of waiting by coming to me.
