BJ picked up his 50% deposit on April 15. My project was to remove wallpaper out of a hallway and paint common living areas, two bathrooms and texture a bathroom ceiling. He quoted 3 days for the project. He started April 16th. He worked for three days and left an employee there for two additional days. I told him the work looked bad and he agreed to return on Monday, which he did. He agreed the work looked bad and he would "make it right." Most areas of the home had to be repainted after inspection as he did prep any areas prior to painting, just painted over everything. he destroyed the walls during the wall paper removal process and then said they were probably damaged anyway. Due to the damage during the wallpaper removal process, he said wall paper had to be put back up but his would look similar to the drywall and could be painted and it would look nice. Well, that "fix" did not work either. Therefore, he said he would put up wood paneling. This was on April 23. He didn't return until May 14th saying he had truck trouble (although his Facebook page has other jobs that were completed during this time). I never got upset with delays, shoddy work as he said he would fix it and wanted me to be satisfied. On May 14, he did work for 12 hours 10am -10pm. The work looked sloppy as usual. He then demanded payment even though the walls were still wet and I told him I wasn't comfortable as I wanted to wait and see the finished product. He said he couldn't return and I felt I had to pay him since there were two men in my home demanding money late at night. I had given him every extension expressing understanding of issues (poor employees craftsmanship, truck trouble) and he showed a complete disrespect of my concerns when he knew the job was crappy and not completed. He did let me know he was leaving paint for me. Well the entire point of hiring a painter is so that I did not have to paint. I would not rehire or recommend him for any other work. As for his work, the pics speak for themselves

Details: Home • 5 rooms • Walls • Ceiling • 1,000 - 1,500 sq ft • Over 14 feet • Repainting - color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • Yes, I would like the painter to move furniture or wall hangings

Kendra I apologize you feel this way. I kept you informed throughout the entire process and had previously forewarned you the wallpaper areas were in pore condition. As you know the employee who did the wallpaper removal was let go after the issue in your home. I offered to have someone of your choice to come out and repair the drywall and finish the job to your standards and stated I would cover any cost and so whatever it takes too satisfy you. You stated were happy with the wanescoating and that would be fine. I want you to be totally satisfied as I always try to make sure every job goes well so I will still offer too hire someone of your choice to repair any necessary areas, I can return to address your concerns, or I'm willing to refund all charges on the hallway painting and wallpaper removal. As you know my truck was clearly in the shop as I own a black truck and I returned to finish in a white rental truck. Anyways I want to satisfy you and this is the first I'm hearing of your dissatisfaction so please let me know if there's any way I can make certain you are happy. Thank you!
