Hired on Thumbtack
I would not recommend anyone choose this person/company for any work you need done unless you’re in the market for half assed work and a total lack of professionalism. The main reason we even hired them is because they were the only option that was available to show up on the short notice we needed them. They left unfinished work once they were paid in full and did not respond to calls, texts, or messages through the app. But that was on us for trusting they could be held to their word. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and go with a professional with plenty of reviews that can speak to the quality of their work, as well as their character and integrity. Time constraints led us to hiring them in the first place, but it’s a lesson learned to allow enough time to hire someone better and not be under such a time crunch. I wouldn’t hire these ones again if they were the only handymen left on this app. Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere if you value your time and money.

KARB-MAX LLC's reply
Hi Halima, thank you for
taking the time to write your Confucion and
frustration. Let me explain to
you how emergencies are treated for example
in one Call for a drip in
Second floor of a home. It
is an emergency staked, the
first thing
agreement with the owner, on
price. The owner must
know that we will open part of
the walls to fix the problem
2. Second agreement. We assess
the damage caused by
water and due to the repair
that was done (ceilings, wet floors,
fungi behind the wall etc.)
As you can see, we treat
problems in steps.
In the case
of your house we only charge
for step #1. and we are
proud of having prevented your
house from ending up in fire because
that type of electrical problems
that you had many times,
ends up setting the house on fire,
the animals they have in the attic
ate the electrical cables. fortunately
nothing happened.
I hope the method
we use is clear for your
satisfaction. Your safety and
peace of mind is important
to us.
