Kyle was great! A great master electrician who was responsive and gave extra effort to make sure the job was done right! Would definitely use again for any electrical projects! He instilled a generator transfer switch and made sure I had the equipment and that things were set up! Thanks so much!

Needed a 220 outlet in the garage and heater for the garage. 1st estimate by another provider was 8000.00 due to a need to update a breaker box. Breakaway electronics Kyle McKibiben put in the outlet and heater for and will return soon to put in new breaker box to replace the unsafe one for less than 4500.00. He came the day after we talked to him. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable, and did the work efficiently and all works perfect! He’s friendly and was a joy to have in our home.

Kyle was amazing at communicating through the whole process to make sure the job done was exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. It turned out even better than I was expecting. Very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend for anyone needing a lighting upgrade!

I just moved to the Midwest area and was needing an electrician to add fans in 2 of the rooms as well as quad outlet. I didn't realize how humid it is here. I called a couple electricians to come out and give me a quote. Some didn't show up when they were supposed to, some were running late without a phone call. Breakaway Electric was truly the only one who showed up on time, spoke perfect English and communication was top notch. I also had him add an quad outlet for my coffee/smoothie area. He came in, knocked out the work quickly. I was so impressed and happy I had him come back and add exhaust fans to each of the bathrooms. Also going to use them to add landscaping lights. What else impressed me is, he is insured and bonded which is important to me. You sure don't want your house to catch on fire. I have also recommended friends and family. They have used Breakaway and were happy with their service.
FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing could be higher based on my experience, but my experience has also taught me to work smartly and efficiently. I really don't like to take advantage of anyone. Paying someone much less will make sense until it takes them twice as long to do a project, or there is unnecessary damage done to drywall or equipment. Having a good reference and repeat business is more important to me than making more money than I should off of a job, and not getting the repeat business.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Knowing what the customer is expecting when the job is finished is huge. Assumptions from either of us will only lead to someone feeling unsatisfied, which is not good for anyone. You deserve to have what you want, and open communication is what gets us there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended CITC as an apprentice, which taught me WHY codes are followed, as opposed to just knowing the codes themselves, and how to follow them.
