About
I've got 6 years of electrical experience. I started roping houses and trimming at palmer electric. Then I learned troubleshooting, remodels, theory, lighting layouts, and codes at TC electric under the direct supervision of a master. I can do just about anything in residential, including full service upgrades, and other jobs that require a permit.

Sam was great. He came in and assessed the wiring issue, helped get an outlet back in working order and offered preventative measures for future reference. He has a great quality of explaining things as he goes, didn’t seem to mind me following him around. I appreciated the context around what he was doing and how he approached the explanation given my minimal understanding of electrical wiring concepts. We also agreed on getting a project of adding outlets to the garage at an affordable cost. He talked through everything that would be necessary and was very willing to work to my specifications. I highly recommend Sam for service and will be using him in the future.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My rate is $70 an hour. All troubleshooting is hourly. Fixture installs are often $80 a fixture, but that can vary (if it's a super easy fixture, it may be less, if it's a 90 pound crystal chandelier, it will be more.) additionally, if you've got a ton of fixtures for me to install, I can work out a discount. Remodels are usually a rough bid based on how many days I think it will take and how much material will be needed. Remodels for me are almost never a set in stone bid, but I'm always fair, and If they take less time than I'd anticipated, you'll be charged less. Service upgrades and swaps are usually a flat rate fee. Dedicated circuit installs are usually a flat rate fee. Cutting in plugs is usually a flat rate fee. Adding smoke detectors is usually a flat rate fee. Landscape lighting is usually a flat rate fee. Installing switches and plugs is usually hourly. etc.
