Kaleb Glass installed my new Flat screen TV on a full motion Sanus mount which I had purchased online. He arrived about 1 hour early. He was very polite and professional. He took extra time to evaluate my opinions on the placement of my TV. He prepared his work area with a drop cloth to protect my carpeting. Talk about customer service, while he was at my home the tornado sirens went off and we were under a tornado warning during the complete installation. He never hesitated a bit and kept concentrated on his job at hand. I listened to the weather radio and kept him posted of the storms activity. He finished the install in about an hour and the storm passed us without incident. He cleaned up his work area and did an excellent job, even with all the weather distractions. He is a true professional and I would HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone. I will be calling on him again in the future. His price for the installation was also the best I had received. I give him 10 stars because he deserves it. Thanks again Kaleb, says Mr. Randolph.

Wall mounted 2 flat screen TV's. One was a heavy 50" Plasma. The mount was also heavy and hard to work with. Kris rolled with it and made it happen without blinking an eye and without complaint. I strongly recommend Kris for TV mounting! Outstanding!

Ray has done several projects for me in both my home and business. He is a very skilled electrian, and overall construction professional. Projects he has completed for me include basement finishing, running all new electrical switches, outlets and lights. He has installed several flat screen TV wall mounts which included running new electrical outlets. Ray is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. I would defiantly recommend his services.

Jarred was awesome! We hired him to move our tv that was mounted on the wall to above our fireplace as well as add an electrical outlet next to the fireplace. He then had to fix the holes in the drywall where the tv was. Jarrod and team did an amazing job...it looks wonderful! I'm so excited to have found such an awesome handyman...I already know we'll be calling Jarrod for the next project!

Extremely satisfied with Brummel Construction as I have used Ed on a full kitchen remodel with cabinet and appliances installation along with tile of floor and back splash. Was very pleased that I had him do several other projects to include: master bath remodel, fireplace front resurfaced with tile and flat screen TV hung so no wires show. Also Ed did remarkable wood work on replacement of stair railing. Also have used him on my general "to do /fix it list to include treadmill, painting, etc. Would highly recommend!

We carry a full line of flat screens, projectors, audio equipment (turntables and tube amps as well) and speakers to get the job done right. We also sell custom remotes to make your new or current system run easily. We give priority to jobs where we are selling and supplying the equipment. Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Who wall mounts TVs?

Electricians, handymen and TV installation specialists may all provide television mounting services. The person who does the mounting should be qualified and knowledgeable about basic construction concepts as well as working with audiovisual cables. In general, no specialized certificates are required to provide television mounting services, but as always do your diligence and make smart hiring decisions.

It’s important to find an experienced professional who will ensure the TV wall mount meets building code. Most regions have fire codes that don’t permit high-voltage power cords behind walls (low-voltage wires like HDMI and video cables are generally acceptable). A basic wall mount on drywall may take approximately one to two hours, while more complex mounts on brick or stone with hidden cables can take three or more hours. If you need more electrical outlets installed near your entertainment system, you may want to hire an electrician. Check out our tips for smart hiring on Thumbtack.

What should you do with a broken LCD TV?

Nationally, the average price range for TV repair is $60-$90. LCD TV repairs are one of the most common TV repair requests. A liquid crystal display (LCD) TV uses the same technology as your smartphone and most computer screens. Images are created on an LCD screen by electric currents that pass or block light through liquid crystals that are encased between two polarized, glass-like sheets. LCD TVs can be very thin and are relatively affordable, making them one of the most prevalent types of TV on the market. If you have a broken LCD TV, it can probably be repaired. Common problems that can be repaired include a blank screen, sound issues, power problems and digital connection problems. Here is one example of LCD TV repair cost:

  • 55-inch Samsung LCD TV repair: $150, including parts and labor
    • The LCD was intermittently powering up and powering off. The main circuit board was removed and replaced.

Can you fix a flat screen TV?

Yes, you can usually fix a flat screen TV. Whether you have a plasma, LED, OLED, HDR, HD or even LCD, TV repair pros can repair your TV. Flat screen TVs are expensive, and when they stop working it can make your heart stop. Here are examples of the most common problems:

  • Power problems: The TV won’t turn on or will not stay on once started.

How much does it cost to mount a TV?

Elevate your home style with television mounting services. The national average price for television mounting services ranges between $100 and $130. Factors that can affect cost are the material of the wall you want the TV mounted on, whether you want the wires hidden, and any additional entertainment system connection you desire. It probably costs more to mount a TV on brick, stone or concrete than on drywall or plaster due to the added labor required to drill holes. For example, a company may charge an additional $99 to mount a TV on a brick wall. Here are some examples of average costs for television mounting services:
