Introduction: I am a 3rd generation flooring specialist and have been installing and refinishing hardwood floors in Kansas City for 19 years. KC Flooring Experts is a small company and that's how I prefer it. By staying small I can be 100% sure that every floor we install or refinish is a floor that I would be proud to have in my own home.

My floors look amazing just from the buff and recoat for one side of my rental property. I am very happy with Joe and Chris for all their hard word! I am looking forward to having them work on the other side of my rental property soon for a complete refinish!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home was not well-maintained, so we were afraid we might not be able to keep the original hardwoods. The floors had water, pet, and smoke damage. However, KC Flooring Experts did their magic and they turned out beautifully!

I can’t say enough good things about KC Flooring Experts. They are prompt, profession, communicative, fairly priced, highly skilled, thorough and really just all around great guys.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention three specific things:
1. Value: I’m that weird type of person who likes to understand all available options a before moving forward, so I went a little overboard and got five different bids. KC Flooring Expert’s bid was the lowest by a decent margin, while providing more value and expertise than others (e.g., the high quality wood, flush vents, best-in-class poly, no stupid accessorial charges/fees, etc)
2. Attitudes: The team was professional and friendly. But what I really appreciated about them was that they ALL had the heart of a teacher. They helped me understand the process, from start to finish and explained to me what they were doing and why they were doing it that way. When it came to making decisions, they walked me through different options, gave me recommendations and explained why that was the best route.
3. Attention to detail: There are many different instances of this but the level of detail these guys have is extraordinary. Just one example: It was later in the evening and they were finishing up after a long 12 hour day. They were running their fingers across the trim, doing a final pass when one of the guys suddenly stopped. He got up, walked all the way to the garage to their tool kit, grabbed a specific type of hammer and started working on that specific spot. I asked him what he was doing because I didn’t see anything. Apparently, there was a nail head that was BARELY sticking out of the trim; I tend to be pretty meticulous and I never would have noticed it. He went on to mention, “Yeah it really wouldn’t have been an issue and no one would have known either way but I know you have a younger daughter so I want to make sure it’s perfect, just in case.” Who says/does that, especially after a 12 hour day or work!?
In short, hire these guys. They’re going to do the highest-quality job in KC at the best prices. They’re awesome.

Joe and Chris did a great job on refinishing my old hardwoods. My house looks a million times better already! They showed up on time, kept me in the loop, and were very easy to work with. I’ll be recommending their services to everyone I know!
