Introduction: A headshot is not just a good shot of your face. It has to capture you in a way that conveys your personality in one image. The best headshots engage the viewers in a way that intrigues them, without distracting from you. Depending on your field, it also may have certain industry-standard expectations.
Photographers who specialize in weddings, engagements, newborns, etc., may be able to take a lovely shot of your face, but they also likely do not truly understand what makes a great headshot.

I had never used a service like Thumbtack before, so I was honestly a little bit skeptical going in. However, I needed a photographer on short notice, so I was willing to give it a try. Truly, after my first communication with Brian, I knew he was going to be awesome. And he was. Professional in every way. I have hired a lot of photographers in the past and I've never worked with one that was SO accommodating to my visions. He was easy to work with, brought out the best in me, achieved my vision, but also gave me some of his own creative ideas which were brilliant! I honestly have nothing bad to say about him! Next time I need a photographer in the area I will most definitely be giving him a call. I highly recommend him in every way!

Brian did a fantastic job with my pictures. I had a photography emergency and he was able to set up a session with me within a few days and thanks to him I was able to get my school application ready on time.
