Everything went smoothly: from the moment I was contacted through Thumbtack until I said 'Thanks, man. Enjoy the rest of your weekend'. Up front the cost was mentioned, there was a contract and I was called to make sure everything was good. There was a weekend charge that was made very clear and even followed up on to make sure that I was aware that was a thing, which is totally fine and I'm glad it was made very clear that that fee was going to happen. The tech was available a bit earlier than scheduled so they had called to ask if that was cool. It was. So they got started early. I pointed out the problem and he immediately got to work. Turns out there was some gunk buildup in the iron pipes (it happens) and he removed it. Even said he would cut the pvc pipe leading into it to help mitigate the problem from happening in the future. No additional charge for that. Of course I'll take that. All-in-all, I would highly recommend. Very professional, very prompt, and left the area in a clean state. The guy does everything too: HVAC, electrical, plumbing. I am keeping his card for future work.
General electrical work done fast and well.
Great experience! I was in need of some wiring/data work at one of my commericial retail locations and Kaleb from KASE Electrical was reliable, knowledgable and completed the work at good price. He was very responsive to my requirement to get this job done quickly and came to do a free site estimate prior to completing the work.
Dave with iWire completed 4 small electrical projects in 2 hours for a very fair price. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I highly recommend iWire for your next electrical need.
Russell is an outstanding and experienced professional contractor. I recommend him for all of your electrical work. Thank you, Russell!
I highly recommend Zimmer Construction LLC for any of your projects. I had a few contractors come out and give me estimates on remodeling my kitchen. I choose Zimmer Construction because Roy was full knowledge with giving me ideas and the pricing was fair. The crew was very professional removed everything to the bare studs and the flooring removed to the subflooring. I was a very indecisive on what exactly I wanted done with my kitchen. I gave Roy ideas and he added more with great detail making it stand out more. Due to the changing of project ideas, pricing changed as well to get me a look that I just love. It cost a little more for the changes I made but they were well worth it. Roy and the crew are professional and detail oriented. He came in with the adequate tools and materials to get the job done right and in a timely manner. They handled everything from the flooring, cabinets, drywall, tile work, electric, plumbing, trim work and painting. Every project I had them do was done well above average. Great company to work with and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work.
John asked questions first, then gave us a good bid on the job, and was also able to do the work on a second job we had posted on here, knocking out two projects with one contractor! He was able to do the interior electrical work in a matter of hours, and came back over the weekend to do the work on our deck, which was very much appreciated given the short deadline we had with this rental property. We showed him the problem with our deck and he came up with a more stable (and less expensive) solution than what we had envisioned. Although we had a miscommunication on start date/time that left me uneasy at first, he remedied the situation immediately and did great work. I am a young woman and was alone in the house while he was doing electrical work and I felt comfortable. In my past experiences I've always been sent an invoice for work, so I was not prepared to pay at the time services were rendered (and given work was done in the evening over a holiday weekend we needed to pay in cash instead of a check since banks were closed). John did work with us on paying him after the fact, but now I know that is something to be prepared for when working with individual contractors instead of a company that will make things go a little more smoothly. We were overall very pleased with his work and how personable he was. Would definitely reach out to him again should another project arise.
Mr. Castellano did some electrical work on a short I had in my bathroom. After checking what needed to be done, he explained the problem and what needed to be done. He was professional, knowledgeableand courteous throughout and had the short fixed in no time flat. Would I use his services again? Absolutely!
Over the 9 years I have owned my home in Overland Park, and my experience with numerous contractors, undeniably, Aaron has been the most ethical contractor I have had to work with. Over the past year, he completed 4 projects in and around my home including electrical, kitchen, deck repair and refinishing. He's a craftsman and has immense pride in ensuring the homeowner is more than satisfied with his work. On the most recent project in June 2015, he was not happy with the work by one of his employees. He said it was not up to "His" standards so he spent the entire day re-doing the work. I would definitely hire Aaron again for several reasons: (1) He knows his trade - mechanical, electrical, remodeling. (2) He takes pride in his work (3) He does what he says (4) he's reasonably priced. In fact, I told him he needs to raise his prices as there are competitors who charge much more and do much less. Thank you Aaron!
I hired Jim to install an electrical outlet in my home where there was not one. First, let me say that Jim was prompt to respond to my service request. I scheduled an appointment for him to come to my home to assess the job and provide me with an estimate. Jim arrived promptly, quoted a very fair price, and came ready to do the job. I hired him on the spot even though I had an appointment set for another professional to give me an estimate. Jim is very professional, yet personable, and efficient in his trade. The install was neat and clean, and Jim was careful to cleanup behind himself. I will definitely hang on to Jim's contact information and consider him for future home projects, as he is a general contractor and experienced in various construction trades. It should be clear by now that I highly recommend Jim Mowrey, owner of Kustom Remodeling. You won't be sorry. I'm sure not!
I needed electrical and construction work done. This company is on the ball. I hired them on Friday. Ten hours on Saturday and the jobs were done and done well. Thank you, Sure-Fire...Jason and Kelly.
He did an excellent job. Was very kind and personable. Took the time to do everything the right way. Will defiantly continue to use him for any electrical jobs I have in the future.
We had a power surge in our house after a lightning storm that messed with several of the circuits. Kelly was able to solve the problem and fix a few fuses in our box. He made some recommendations for our 1950's house to improve the electrical workings, and I felt comfortable with his work. He did leave a few wires in the basement, but otherwise did a great job.
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
KDM Electrical did an excellent job on my project. I was visibly impressed with the overall workmanship of the job. Russ Davis was very professional from beginning to end. He handled all aspects of the job, from getting the permit to scheduling with KCP&L. They started and finished in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them on other electrical projects.
Mike is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with (and I am not new to the business-I have been in the construction industry for 30 years). He is part of a rare group of people that really care and has integrity. As an out of town investor owning several rental properties Mike has become a key component of our success. Somehow he finds that challenging balance between keeping our properties in good shape, responding promptly and professionally to our tenants and Property Managers requests, and keeping our maintenance costs very reasonable. He is very personable, and he has an innate ability of dealing with people and caring about people. Mike is a gem.
Lance and his crew are well versed in all aspects of wiring new construction and especially in upgrading existing construction--a real plus in keeping our 1893 home safe and current. Outstanding contractor, sensitive to client needs and up to date on technology and industry trends. Laven Electric is our go-to electrical contractor.
KDM electrical contractor's were great to work with. They had positive additudes, they were on time, and did a great job, and they fixed the problem! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.
